MARVEL Studios Has Pushed Back Two Untitled Movies - One By Almost A Full Year

Marvel Studios has announced that two of its dated, but still unofficially titled, big screen releases have been pushed back, and one of 'em - believed to be Blade - has been delayed by a full year...

Although things are slowly but surely returning to normal and standard theatrical releases are expected to resume very soon, Disney has announced another couple of delays, and one upcoming Marvel Studios film will now open almost a full year after it was originally dated.

The untitled movie that was set to premiere on October 7, 2022, has now been pushed back to October 6, 2023, while the November 2023 release will now hit theaters just a week later on November 10, 2023.

These were placeholder dates with no titles officially attached, but the October release is rumored to be the new Blade movie starring Mahershala Ali in the title role. That always seemed like pure speculation based on process of elimination, but if it is the Daywalker's reboot, fans are going to have to wait another year to see him in action. Blade did have a writer on board in Watchmen scribe Stacy Osei-Kuffour, but Marvel was in the process of searching for a director.

An untitled live-action Disney flick has also been removed from the studio's release schedule altogether. It was slated to arrive in theaters on October 6, 2023, but has now been replaced by the mysterious Marvel movie.

We're not expecting these untitled releases to be announced any time soon, but we'll be sure to keep you updated.

@Godzilla2000Zer - That's interesting. To me it was better than Saw V but not better than Saw VI. I was a bit underwhelmed with the "twist". Not a fan of copy-cat killers acting exactly like a past killer. It takes away from what made John Kramer so diabolical and strategic. I wished they gave the villain a more unique style.

@SonOfAGif - I actually got a different experience from him that while he was inspired by John Kramer he certainly didn't have the same reasons for be a killer like Kramer was I think his goal was to actually kill them instead of redeeming them. Overall he's probably my third favorite killer after Hoffman and Kramer.

@WakandaTech - If this is true they might cannibalize their own promotion and ticket sales. This, on top of other Disney movies that might also be released...

@WakandaTech - Deadpool 3 will be the best of the bunch solely because Reynolds knows how to push the envelope. Blade will be tame. FF is a Jon Watts film so nuff said. Guardians 3: who cares and Ant Man 7 meh

October 2023 has got to be Blade. November 2023 could either be F4 or Captain America 4.

I've heard some suggest Deadpool 3 but I get the feeling Disney would want to release that either in the summer or in the early months of the year much like the first two films.
