Rutger Hauer Signs On To Dario Argento's Dracula, Says He Wont Be Back For TDKR

Everybody's favorite replicant has confirmed that he will be playing Van Helsing in Dario Argento's upcoming 3D take on Bram Stoker's classic tale. He also says that he won't be back for TDKR.

EW report that Hauer(The Hitcher, Blade Runner, Sin City, Hobo With A Shotgun) has signed on to star as Dracula's nemesis Abraham Van Helsing in horror master Dario Argento's Dracula 3D.

“That could be really, really exciting. I’m flying to London and when I get there I want to have a talk [with] The Master about what he thinks he gets from me, to see where he lives. I can see 3-D working really well and he’s experimenting with it.”

Hauer also played a small part in Batman Begins as the miserable git CEO of Wayne Enterprises. On the chance of his return in Chris Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, EW put the question to him..

“I think not, I would have heard about it.”

Well, there's a shocker! Anyway, as much of an admirer of Argento's works as I am, I'm really not sure what more there is to mine from Bram Stoker's novel. Francis Ford Coppola already gave us a pretty spot on faithful version back in 1992. Still, I'm open to see what he can deliver. Not sure I'm liking the 3D part though.
