BlackAirs Review Nemesis #1

Better than Kick-ass?

..............My god this comic is AWESOME. Issue #1 from start to finish is a violent and amazing spectacle. I won't say any spoilers because well we heard a lot about it and how violent it is, but MAN WHAT AN ENDING. The villain properly named Nemesis is the worlds only super genius villain. He tortures police chiefs mostly in china and sets his eyes on Washington DC. He writes on a small piece of paper when and how the police chief he terrorizes is gonna die. The writing by Millar is stupendous, he brings a sense of reality to this comic, much like Ultimates and Kick-ass, it feels like the world we live in. The way the police chief speaks and the mannerism of the villain are both great. They show just how menacing and smart Nemesis is, although it seems like quite the stretch for what occurs in the issue, but hey its a Millar, he always makes him seem unlikely. The art by McNivens really complements the story and the violence. I really can't wait for the next issue. I give this a 5/5 for story and a 5/5 for art. Can't wait for the rest.

I've been excited about this for months. I just read a bad review for it on Newsarama, so its nice hear an argument to the contrary. Time to hop in the shower and pick up my comics! Thanks for the heads up Blackairs.

CorndogBurglar, they said it was written to only appeal to Millar's core fan base and lacked substance. I believe the term "violence for violence sake" was used. Does that sound like a ringing endorsement to you? And why is there a question mark at the end of your statement? Either way its of little importance now. I already bought the damn thing.
