Though plans may have stalled on the Kick-Ass film franchise, Mark Millar's next comic book adaptation, Kingsman: The Secret Service is positioning itself to be the surprise hit of 2015 thanks to strong praise from just about every film critic that's seen it. With that in mind, what will be the next Millarworld comic book to receive a big screen adaptation? The Marvel Comics Civil War writer tells Red Carpet TV that it will either be Starlight or Chrononauts. "Film wise, probably Starlight will be the next one. Either Starlight or Chrononauts will be the next thing that gets filmed. Hopefully at the end of this year. The screenplays are being written right now. "
While Starlight and Chrononauts are definitely anticipated titles for a lot of comic book readers, fans have been waiting for a Nemesis movie since 2010! At one point in time, names like Liam Neeson, Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp were rumored to be attached to the project and Nemesis was even thought to be on the fast track at Fox. But with no visible traction in nearly five years, will Nemesis ever see the big screen? Apparently a successful debut by Kingsman: Secret Service may help. " I hope so. They spent a lot of money on the screenplay. Joe Carnahan wrote it, it's fantastic. I think they're just waiting to see - I actually think Kingsman could be something that jumpstarts Nemesis. The screenplay is sitting there...they're probably waiting to see how Kingsman does and then maybe something will happen from there. But the script is finished. "
