COMICS: DC Release Full CONVERGENCE Promo Image
Earlier this week DC announced next year's Convergence event which promised to "rock the DC Multiverse to its very core." The first image gave us a look at new villain Telos, and this expanded version highlights more of the worlds that'll be effected, plus the official logo.
Next April, DC are putting their entire line of superhero comic book on a two month hiatus when the events of the Earth 2: World's End and The New 52: Futures End weekly series spin out into Convergence. We'll also meet a brand new villain named Telos, who we had our first glimpse of the other day. Now DC have released this expanded version of that image, and there's a LOT more to see. Convergence will be a nine-week miniseries kicking off April 1st, and will "spill into 40 two-part miniseries in April and May featuring a variety of writers and artists examining the worlds of the DC Universe over the decades, as well as the heroes and villains contained within." The story is described as a "meta epic" by co-publisher Dan DiDio, and involves Brainiac bringing together the populations of all of the multiverse cities he's trapped over the years in an experiment to see what would happen if they were to meet each other. Out of this, a new supervillian named Telos (Greek philosophical term for "end" or "goal") will be introduced. The series is to be penned by TV producer/writer Jeff King, who'll make his comic book debut.
