First off let me begin this article by saying thank you for taking the time to read this. Since I saw the earlier released pictures of Superman without the shorts, facing the man in MoCap and the woman beside him (her name escapes me), an idea has been buzzing around in my head about the plot.
Basically, Krypton is destroyed, Superman lands on Earth (obviously) and the Kents find him. He grows up, discovers his powers and first puts them to the test when the tornado strikes Smallville. He saves the day (hopefully not in a cheesy way) and realizes his "calling" and goes off as a journalist around the world for seven years, operating in secret. The press labels the events as "miracles" and the mysterious figure possibly sighted is being called "Superman". Not until he makes his way to Metropolis is Superman's existence made public (I'd like to see it done in the way The Death And Life Of Superman depicted it) does Clark even begin referring to himself as Superman and actually begin wearing the costume.
It could go across a period of two or so years when he gets to Metropolis (Hopefully not in a montage), and when Zod and that woman (again, her name escapes me) are introduced (They would of course be seen on Krypton, I would think) on Earth it's revealed that they hate humans and that they have been living there in secret since the destruction of Krypton, in a hidden area, burrowing underground to find (Can you guess?) Doomsday (Which could explain the guy in MoCap). And the last 3/4ths of the film or so could deliver us one amazing, fantastic fight between Superman VS Zod and that woman VS Doomsday.
Just fan speculation, though. I haven't been following all of the Superman news (pics, videos) so I may have a few pieces of information wrong or so (Although I could easily have all of it wrong based on this just being speculation).
But yeah. What do you guys think?
