Hi superhero fans around the world. Today I have a treat for you all. I'm talking to actor Vivi Devereaux about his childhood super heroes, how he feels about Hollywood and a few other things which I hope you find interesting!

Comic Book Movie: Hi Vivi! First I'd like to thank you for taking the time to talk to us today.

Vivi Devereaux: it's my pleasure. I'm always up for a little fun banter!

CBM: So are we! So first I have to ask, who was your favorite superhero growing up? And why?

VD: I've got to say Batman. No contest. As for why? I think Batman punches far above his weight considering he hasn't actually got any superpowers although his intelligence could count as one.

CBM: Do you have any memorabilia?

VD: None! Although I did have a Batman mug as a kid which ended up broken. Now THAT was a sad day.

CBM: Do you think superheroes and super villains have a place in today's world where kids aren't the same as a generation ago?

VD: I'd like to think so. People always want a good story where good triumphs over evil and the way the story is delivered may have changed but the goal is still the same. We all want to be inspired and to look up to our heroes whether they are fictional or real life. This is why I hope that kids can draw parallels to comic book heroes and real life ones like firemen etc.

CBM: Any superhero movie roles you  would like to take on?

VD: Man I would love to do Blade. Vampires with swords? Epic.

CBM: Interesting choice! Any particular reason? Apart from swords of course!

VD: I like the fact that he straddles a line between two backgrounds and two destinies an ultimately he has to balance and walk that fine line between who and what he is and what he is trying to accomplish

CBM: Aha! Any interesting projects you're working on now?

VD: hahaha nothing superhero related just yet.

CBM: Come on just a taste! Or is there a NDA agreement in effect?

VD: I plead the 5th. Though I got to say I'm really hoping you will enjoy it. Look out for something later this year.

CBM: How do you feel about all the Hollywood reboots lately?

VD: I personally have no problem with them at all. Ultimately we do these for the fans and they are ones who will steer us in the right direction. After all who knows a superhero better than its creators other than the fans? I respect that.

CBM: Wise words.  Been a great pleasure sharing a few words with you Vivi and I hope you have something to treat us with soon. We wish you all the very best

VD: Thanks for calling and the laughs. It was great going down memory lane for a bit. Excuse me while I fetch my cape (laughs)

And that was that. Great to hear the voice of a driven man and one who holds all the cards he needs in hand. I find myself appreciating the real life super heroes more too. And for that I say thanks.
