Actors Who Should Play Future CBM Villains

In past CBM we have had the good (Heath Ledger Joker), the bad (Arnold Schwarzenegger Mr. Freeze), and the ugly (Topher Grace Venom). Here are my top picks for villains in the future, both DC and Marvel.

Channing Tatum as Eddie Brock/Venom

Instead of a skinny version of the ultimate Spider-man villain, how about a big, handsome Peter Parker Opposite. Channing is a little old to be a high school character (30 years old), but maybe after graduation Brock and Parker could meet.

Isaach de Bankolé as Killer Croc

Ever since Casino Royale, I have been attracted to this casting idea. He has the large build and machete skills to play the psychotic serial killer, and is a good actor.

Jake Abel as William Hand/Black Hand

Pre-Black hand as a rich inventor would be perfect for Abel. Then, after the transformation would be the battle for him, as he would have to build himself for the role. I can see how it can go wrong, but I can also see it going terribly right.

Ben Mendelsohn as Norman Osborn/Green Goblin

Mendelsohn has shown he can play corrupt and greedy business men in The Dark Knight Rises as a minor villain. Let’s see if he can handle the same type of character (without suit) in a main role. I am intrigued as to how this can go.

Jason Issacs as Ra's al Ghul

A fan favorite to play the sword swinging immortal foe of The Dark Knight, Jason Issacs is no stranger to villains (Lucius Malfoy and Captain Hook). This is a big role to fill, especially with Liam Neeson as a predecessor.

Sorry about the lack of pics, my computer isn't letting me upload them. But let me know what you think of my decisions and let me know your own suggestions for villains you want to see.

@LEVITIKUZ at least Channing isn't a scrawny guy whos only good role was as a whiny teenager in a canceled TV show ten years ago. Channing is bigger and has critically acclaimed preformances such as in 21 Jump Street.

@leviticus,It doesn't matter if it was close to the comics, it was still terrible, things can be close to the source and still be terrible, Punisher war zone is the most like its source and yet one of the most hated.

@LEVITIKUZ in ultimate spider-man Eddie Brock was peters childhood friend and they're fathers were working on the venom suit as a cure for cancer and they're parents all died in the same plane crash. So he bears little to no resemblance to ultimate Eddie Brock, the only thing they have in common is they are both scrawny and they're name is Eddie Brock jr. And as a portrayal as 616 Eddie Brock is terrible as well. The reason Eddie Brock hates spider-man is because brock was a journalist and he was working on a story about the sin eater. the sin eater was committing murders and a man came to him confessing the murders and claimed to be sin eater. When spidey caught the real sin eater it was revealed the guy who came to him was a serial confessor and Brock lost his job, became a laughing stock, had to work on celebrity magazines he hated, lost his wife because of it and was diagnosed with cancer. Eddie Brock in spider-man 3 hates Peter because he stole his "girlfriend" who he had 1 coffee with, and he beat him to a job that he directly cheated on using on old photo of his competitors that he photoshopped then asks god to kill him. He's just a dude living in his own world and as a representation of Eddie Brock he makes him look pathetic and Eddie Brock is not that at all.

@LEVITIKUZ is right. Just because Topher had his dad's foot up his butt in the 70's doesn't mean he is a bad actor. Yeah I would liked to have seen a bigger Venom, but still I thought he did great.

Agreed, Joe Manganiello for Venom

also Jason Issacs as Namor

and either Mads Mikkelsen or Robert Knepper as Red Skull...if Hugo Weaving doesn't return afterall, after wat he said in recent interviews.

I myself thought Jason Issacs would have been an interesting Lex Luthor. I also thought Viggo Mortensen, David Anders, Daniel Day Lewis, Christopher Eccleston & Guy Pearce. But now the last two are in Marvel Films. So I would go with Jason then if he can't do it Viggo. Some of my choices may not look the part but I believe they could pull off a good version. So that's why I listed them.

I my self want the next Ra's al Ghul to be more middle eastern. Liam did a good job. But when you see the scene at the party at Wayne manor the guy pretending to be Ra's looks more like him.

Levitikuz is right, Channing Tatum would be a terrible Eddie Brock. He can be funny, but he's not a good actor. He's barely even mediocre.

Some better choices (although even these wouldn't be the best) are Cam Gigandet, Dane DeHaan (he'll be a good Harry but I think he'd have been a better Eddie), Garrett Hedlund, or my personal favourite as of thinking it up 30 seconds ago: Aaron Paul (from Breaking Bad).

I think they should take some cues from Ultimate Spider-Man, in that it doesn't necessarily matter how big the actor is, as the Symbiote could change his size as Venom to be more muscular and menacing. And, like the original Ultimate Venom, he should be like a mini-hulk in terms of his size and shape, but with the white spider symbol.

@Levitikuz Mr Freeze isn't emotionless at all. He's a thoroughly sad, tragic character. He requires a subtlety and level of nuanced acting that most actors don't have.
