At the
Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo during the Boondock Saints panel, SEan Patrick Flanery (Boondock Saints 1+2, young Indiana Jones, Saw 3D, Dexter)replied to an audience member's question about Boondock Saints 3 with the following words:
"After the recent tragedies hit Boston I texted (director) Troy Duffy to ask him about when he would work on the third one and he replied 'on it'." Flanery also referenced the following images that have been floating around social media sites (I myself have shared several of these in the time since the bombings in Boston).
Later in the panel the topic of the Boston bombings surfaced again when Flanery was asked about his feelings on real life vigilante justice. He briefly expressed disgust in the justice system's punishment for people that
"rape and torture" only getting 10 years in prison. He went on to say:
"Well, I'm from Texas so what I'd do is take the person out back and shoot him in the f***ing head," Flanery is known for being a cut up especially during expo panels. It would seem that this horrible disaster has sparked not only movement on the third Boondock Saints film but it has obviously had an impact on Flanery on a personal level.
Later in the panel when Norman Reedus (Boondock Saints 1+2,Blade,Walking Dead) joined the panel Flanery snapped back into his happy laughing self and seemed to enjoy the stage time with his friend telling old stories, snapping pictures with fans and mocking one another.
So,
Who's excited for Boondock Saints 3?
How has the Boston Bombing affected you?
'Till next time, Woodinator
