It was announced earlier this month that the conclusion to Brightest Day would see the two characters rejoin the DC Universe, leading
into a three-issue miniseries called
Brightest Day Aftermath: The Search for Swamp Thing.

Vankin has now teased that although Constantine and Swamp Thing traditionally have a relatively friendly relationship,

"Clearly, something has changed. John needs to find out what that something is," Vankin explained to Comic Book Resources. "The story of Search for Swamp Thing starts when Constantine realizes that something is very different in the world, something he can't quite put his finger on.

"If there is one thing that doesn't sit well with John, it's the feeling that he's been outsmarted, especially by the Swamp Thing whom John always considered to be not the sharpest thorn on the rose."

As well as dealing with the Constantine's relationship with the Swamp Thing, Vankin's miniseries will also set up relationships with other DC Universe characters, including Batman and Superman.
