Do you think Geoff Johns will keep his job as DC’s CCO?

Forever Evil was seen as a disappointment to many. How long will Johns' reign of power at DC last?

I am aware that some people do like the direction of DC Comics’ New 52, but I think that Johns’ involvement within it has hurt the company.  Forever Evil was disappointing, and it seems as if Johns loves Hal Jordan so much, that he belittles Batman (see all of the other posts about how Johns loves to sh*t on Batman) makes Superman an immature brat and practically kills off John Stewart (who gained momentum as THE Green Lantern due to his animated appearances) in order to boost Hal’s presence within the continuity.  Geoff Johns has had his moments as a writer, but Batman is DC’s cash cow, Superman is well, Superman and John Stewart is one of DC’s few recognizable minority characters.  I think that if Geoff John’s continuous sabotage of these characters effects DC’s bottom line, he might be out as the head of creative.  Geoff Johns is really shaking things up, but his attempt to elevate Hal Jordan has failed (hasn’t made waves in comic book sales) and I question how long the decision makers at DC will tolerate Johns tinkering with their already established properties without anything to show for it.

Im with Gliderman. Johns is great. Your article seems to be based in your dislike for Hal Jordan. His run on GL was undeniably great and his Aquaman is pretty damn good too.

So what if you thought Forever Evil was dissapointing, Johns killed it with his New 52 Aquaman and made the butt of all jokes superhero a badass mofo.

Who cares if he belittled Batman in Forever Evil, Scott Snyder is more than making up for it with his New 52 Batman run.

I just checked the Hall of Shame. I'm scratching my head as to why some of those comments were reported.

so dramatic...

Johns is awesome. So was Forever Evil. Great ending.

I am a huge Batman fan, and I'm fine with the way Johns writes him.

Johns usually works best with characters people have a hard time giving a [frick] about. He needs to go back and work with some lower tier characters again.

Geoff Johns is good, but shouldn't be used for anything. He shouldn't be allowed to work on anything that includes Superman or Batman, Green Arrow etc. He can continue working on Aquaman and Green Lantern, but that's about it. His JL stories are really poor in terms of storytelling.

Bring back some classic JL writers like Grant Morrison. Forever Evil had a good overall story, but in-depth it was just boring.

JL has always been mostly about how great Batman and Superman are. I thank whatever powers there may be for Johns straying from the status quo.

I actually don't mind John. I prefer John over Goyer.

Stop hating. Dc are building up other characters not just focusing on the big two

I'd say DC probably needs to realise there are other capable writers too. Johns spearheaded every event for what... 6 years or so? I'm sure some of the other good writers are capable of developing a good story for an event too.
