This is the one Hellboy adventure that I've felt coming for a long time. Ever since it was announced that famed Mexican movie director Guerillmo Del Torro was being taped to make the Hellboy movies I've felt that there was no way that Hellboy himself could escape a heavy Mexican influence himself, especially after reading how well Mignola and Del Torro got along. Well, it has taken longer than I expected, but the inevitable has finally come to fruition: Hellboy is going south of the border.
In the newest one shot, due to hit shelves just in time for Cinco de Mayo, we are privy to one of Hellbo's earliest, and hitherto unknown, adventures. Set in the 1950's, just a scant few years after his "birth" in 1944, we find Hellboy galavanting around Mexico with a trio of vampire-killing luchadores. while with them he apparently faces the undead; evil turkeys; a terrible bat god; and a little too much tequila.
This new one shot reunites frequent collaborators writer Mike Mignola and artist Richard Corben, the creative team behind the last one shot The Bride of Hell and the Eisner Award-winning miniseries Hellboy: The Crooked Man! So you know it has to be good.
But wait there's more! Act now and not only will you get a drunken Hellboy fighting evil turkeys, and legendary comic stars Mike Mignola and Richard Corben but you'll also get a limited edition variant cover ,in Spanish, by Mike Mignola! What a bargain!
