Kevin Feige On When His Contract With MARVEL STUDIOS Expires Kevin Feige On When His Contract With MARVEL STUDIOS Expires

We always hear about actors getting asked when their contract expires, but you hardly hear their key executives getting asked. One of the reasons Marvel movies have been so successful is their leadership under Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, who has been working hard on turning Marvel Studios from being hardly anything to being one of the biggest brands on the planet ever since the first Iron Man back in 2008. About five months ago, Collider asked Feige when his contract with Marvel ends, but today they asked Feige once again. “As long as they want me here and as long as we're having a good time making the movies, I hope to stay and keep making movies,” answers Feige. “I think it'll be a while, at least through the next phase or so.” Feige goes on to say that it is hard to get the world to care about their movies. “A lot of people today on the junket have asked me 'what is the secret, what is the formula' and I'm always just like 'We just work really hard, we don't sleep much.'” You can watch the interview in the video below...

Marvel’s "Thor: The Dark World" continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s "Thor" and "Marvel’s The Avengers," Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Anthony Hopkins as Odin
Natalie Portman as Jane Foster

He should never leave. Kevin Feige leaving Marvel is equivalent to Dana White leaving the UFC. If he does leave, the MCU continuity should be intact and also NO REBOOTS.

I hope Kevin Feige stays around to at least till Phase 6.
I think after phase 6, marvel studios probably would reboot the franchise

I wouldn't worry about the time. Think about how much Taylor can fit in one Game of Thrones episode. Now add on 40 minutes to that. I think the time will be good

He will go when he is good and ready . The things Marvel is doing , just so ground breaking . And to think it is all because they care about both the comics and the movies .

@joemomma doubt it...DC has had Marvel associated actors and crew before and it never works out well (Green Lantern, Superman Returns).

Why do people keep saying "Phase 4 or Phase 5" and "Phase 6"?!. I thought that it had already been confirmed WAAYY back that there would only be THREE phases.. I'm sure that was said by marvel a while back does anyone remember?

Even if he did leave, he probably have the whole MCU planned out until phase 10 locked in a vault somewhere. He's like Tupac, they'll be releasing shit based on his work well after he's dead...

Even though Thor movie is only 112 minutes long
Just think about like this.....

X-men days of the past
Spidey 2
Cap 2

Trailers are going to be on Thor 2, so think of it as 7 or 8 minutes of extra Marvel stuff to the movie

Feige is Marvel's top bread winner. The day he leaves their studio is the day the MCU dies.
XelCorp
XelCorp - 10/19/2013, 12:51 PM
When the MCU eventually comes to an end, instead of rebooting it I would continue the timeline in the MCU and bring in new characters. Everyone will say ""well what about the previouse heroes? (Iron man,Cap,Hulk,Thor). I would explain it like this: Captain America dies in Avengers 3 after defeating Thanos. This breaks down the team mentally and physically without a leader. Thor says his good bye's to the rest of the team and explains to them how he is now the king of Asgard and that all of his energy and focus must go in to Asgard..he no longer has any time to police earth and he leaves to no longer return.. We are left with Stark and Banner... They say their good bye's to eachother.. Tony this time ACTUALLY gives up being Iron man due to age. He disposes/destroys all of his tech so that people cannot manipulate it anymore. He packs up his things and leaves America WITH pepper to live somewhere private so that he can spend the rest of his final years as a regular person (Retire). We are now left with Bruce where if he transforms into the hulk he is not as effective anymore due to age so he forgets about the hulk and spends the rest of his life being a normal/regular scientist. That would explain the dissapearencr of all four. Now that they are gone you can bring in new characters and in the MCU it can be seen as "THE NEW AGE OF HEROES".: that's how I would do it instead of a reboot :)

@marvel1997

Sounds pretty cool

I personally hope they never reboot the MCU

But I have bad feeling in the future they going to say "well we're trying to get the new generation of audience so we feel its best to reintroduce our marvel characters"

Be honest by the time we get to phase 6 it's going to be 2028 or somewhere around that. MCU would be around for 20 years then

Feige has been so important to the revolution of comic book movies... We should all be kissing his ass... All you Whedonians talk about how important Joss has been to this brand, but his significance pales in comparison to Feige's...
