Marvelites vs. Nolanites

It has been a great year for comic book movies this year, and with that comes insane arguments about which one is better.

I have been visiting this site for about four years now, and I have been a member for about a year and a half. In all four years that I have been here, I have never seen so much ridiculous arguing until this year. On almost any article about The Avengers or The Dark Knight Rises, there is an argument about which one is better. And I have the answer about which one is better. It is which ever one you enjoyed more.

I personally liked the Dark Knight Rises more. I have seen it twice now and think it is the best movie I have ever seen. If you think differently, then good for you. If you like Avengers better, than good for you. Even if you like Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, that is ok, kinda, okay not really. Earlier today, the results for a poll were posted about which movie was better, and tdkr won by a large margin. I do think there was multiple votes, but it was ridiculous that there were tons of comments saying that nolanites are cheaters and that avengers was the best movie. Nolanites were going on that tdkr was the best movie and avengers could suck it.

Like I said earlier, it's fine that you liked the Avengers better, but don't go proclaiming it is the best movie ever. That applies to nolanites as well. Another example of this was there was an article about The Avengers making $616 million. I looked through the comments, and instead of seeing nolanites, I saw people posting comments like 'checkmate nolan' and 'get ready for nolanites' and 'tdkr copied Avengers with the atomic bomb scene'. Was there really any need for those comments.

Nolanites and Marvelites also need too stop going on about critics and box office numbers. People keeps talking about rotten tomato reviews. Well guess what, just because it has a certain percentage, it does not mean any thing. The movie Boondock Saints is considered a cult classic, yet has a 17% on rotten tomatoes. Box Office also does not determine how good a movie is. People who say that box office matter must think that Star Wars Episode I made $1,027,044,677, so is a great movie. No one should ever bring up box office with these two after the horrible shootings in Colorado.

Overall, all this nolanite vs. marvelite is bull. This was a great year for movie. Why can't we all just appreciate that we are here too see these two movies. What is yelling at someone that one movie is better than the other going too do. It is not going to make him like that movie better, its just going to make you look like a jerk. Why fight over these movies. Both the Avengers and The Dark Knight Trilogy have changed CBMs forever. Both these movies have shown that we can make intellectual cbms, or fun awesome team ups.How about we accept other people's opinions and like which ever movie you like better. So how about we stop the petty fighting, and enjoy a great year of cbms, and look forward to another great year next year.
