Are there any potential shows I've missed? Let me know after the jump.

It would make sense for the Mini-Series to be Peggy Carter/Retro-SHIELD as being set in the past means none of the characters in it can turn up in later solo films or Avengers films. Set it anytime after the 'Agent Carter' short film and it could also include perhaps Howard Stark, Mrs Stark, original Jarvis, Dum Dum, Chester Phillips - and depending what decade they set it in (the Cold War?) even a young Nick Fury and/or Hank Pym. It could be one overal arc but lay some groundwork for something in the present day MCU films - e.g. what/who is Zodiac?

For the four drama series I guess it would be from these;

Runaways (a fairly self-contained teenage focussed story)

Daredevil (a courtroom drama)

The Punisher (depending on who buys it, this could be the way for the MCU to include a more mature/violent story)

Heroes for Hire (Weekly assignments would give variety, tell their origins in flashbacks)

AKA Jessica Jones (has been 'in development' for a while?)

Hulk (would need to be set before 'The Incredible Hulk', and show him on the run)

Blade (tricky to bring vampires into the establised MCU)

Since most of these are street-level they could reference/crossover a bit, creating a MTVU wihin the MCU. We could then have some of them join the Avengers...

What I would say about this is that the MCU certainly has its own tone.

Anything that might clash with that might seem a bit odd in context with the rest of the MCU or just appear too isolated.

So something like The Punisher might struggle to make an impact.

If Marvel were willing to push the boat out in terms of genre then CA:TFA would have been a Saving Private Ryan style war film. Thor would have been a Lord of the Rings style epic. TIH would have been a horror film and Ironman would have been a corporate thriller (which it kind of was for a few moments.)

However the rest of your TV choices could easily fit into the MCU. Especially Heroes for Hire which could be a buddy investigative drama with the same tone of Starksy and Hutch or Maverick.

@Orphix I would say the MCU has included different genres but kept the overal tone of the franchise intact;

Cap - WW2 adventure,
Thor - shakespearean family drama, fish-out-of-water comedy/fantasy,
TIHulk - a fugitive anti-hero,

Marvel look to continue this in Phase2 with IM3 being unlike any other MCU film, Cap2 being described as like a 1970's political thriller, Thor2 being more fantasy based and GotG being a full on space opera!

Daredevil defending Punisher in court could be a good story arc...

@ManOfReal Heroes for Hire would be great.

Ugh...my own personal feeling about Daredevil is to keep the courtroom stuff to a minimum. I've never enjoyed legal shows, but I get that a lot of people so. Even so, I can't imagine very many people are going to be excited to tune in to a superhero tv show and spend 42 minutes watching that hero yell "objection".

@ruadh The whole police/courtroom thing is a very popular TV genre so combining that with a street-level superhero, and having it all set in the MCU could be a winning formula...

I don't think Daredevil would be a courtroom drama - not that it wouldn't be cool to have superheroes and villains 'in the dock' arguing their cases, could have some very interesting moral questions - but it just wouldn't give Murdock enough Daredevil time.

Would work better as a crime thriller - but then you may as well do a film if that is the case.

I think that if they did a courtroom drama at day, and crime thriller at night, it could be good.

Daredevil will work if it's R-rated, just has to be (for TV or film). The Director's Cut of the 2003 film proved that correct.

So looks like it will be Daredevil, then Jessica Jones, the Iron Fist and Luke Cage. I had them listed but wasn't expecting them to be linked and joining up for a version of The Defenders!

I expect Punisher will pop up in one or more of these shows as well.
