Hello CBMers!!!

Eyes is gon right dis hole art cull like dis, sew hold on ta sumting. Not!

No, I cannot write an entire article in such a matter. Could I? Might be fun... But you know what's even more fun? A blast from the past? Why I'm talking about "not" jokes, akin to the one I opened the article with, so kewl. It doesn't get much more nostalgic than "not" jokes, well...those and watching the Andy Griffith Show alone. But that's for a whole different article, on a whole different website. One of them mature websites, something like Nickelodeon, screw Nick Jr! Back to nostalgia, like the "not" jokes of yesteryear so is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles a point of tremendous nostalgia for me. And those heroes of a half shell are getting a brand spanking, somewhat weird looking movie. But there are other cartoons/shows from yesteryear that I would also love to see be made into films. Welcome to the Top Fours, where I rank a topic in a mere four easy ways. This topic, shows/cartoons I find nostalgic that deserve movies. Preferably without Michael Bay's involvement.

4) VOLTRON

First things first. I'm talking about the damn lions. Not the forty seven hundred vehicle Voltron. Just the five lions of varying colors. This show was my generations Power Rangers. Mostly, I loved the toys to be perfectly honest. The characters were mostly generic, uninteresting...hmm...I want to say cliches. But only visual cliches, because I can't say to much about personality cliches for the characters. Just visual ones such as; one was fat, one was young, and one was female. Voltron was the star! With my remembrance of the show, they could give a similar movie treatment like Pacific Rim. Right? Little character development, and bad ass robot battles!!

3) M.A.S.K

How fortunate that this team's name acronym was mask, because they all wore masks! Yay! Like having a defense department like organization with an acronym of a defensive tool, like a shield! Not only was there masks, but there was some sweet ass vehicles. Cars that became planes, motorcycles that became helicopters! This was one attempt at crossing G I Joe with Transformers. And to be honest once more, sweet ass toys. Hey, if Battleship can get a movie.

2) ANIMORPHS

If Goosebumps gets a movie, then Animorphs should check under its chair as well! You get a movie, and you get movie, and you get movie!! Thanks Oprah. Seriously though, Animorphs was a great, unheralded young reader book series. Remember? When you flipped the pages all fast, the character in the corner turned into an animal? There was a television series as well that featured Shawn Ashmore. The story of Animorphs followed a group of teenagers who gained the ability to morph into animals from aliens. Earth is being secretly invaded by parasitic-like alien creatures, and the Animorphs are the first line of defense. There is plenty of nuances and plot complexities that beef this seemingly simple premise into a rather engaging tale. The series was developed and expanded over fifty plus books, so there's a lot material, ripe for the mining.

1) CENTURIONS

"Crystal! Stop playing with that ape! I said, POWER EXTREME!!" That phrase, only fans of Centurions will understand. Centurions was the better cartoon to blend G I Joe with Transformers. The three main characters wore special suits that could be outfitted with weapons to help them in their respective domains. Those domains being air, water, and land. I just loved this show. And it had one of the greatest toy lines as well. My favorite was Ace, the jet pack wearing, missiles on wrists bad ass. I hardly hear of much love for this cartoon series, but I would freak out to see it get the big screen adaptation.

In my introduction, I demanded that Michael Bay be kept far away from these properties. But who could do these justice? Who else has turned a beloved childhood cartoon into box office greatness? Why, M. Night Shyamalan of course!! He should definitely produce one of theses!.............................NOT!!!!
