A tweet report from Production Weekly is saying that the CW is eyeing again to adapt Ellis' comic book "Global Frequency". Scott Nimerfro is reported to be writing the Pilot.
Warren Ellis reaction to this news:
I haven't been cleared to comment yet, so I can't really add anything to this. I've spoken briefly to Scott Nimerfro — by which I mean I threatened to have him stabbed, and he thanked me and told me a funny story about how he's had worse threats — and he is Okay.
Anyway. Yes. Shouldn't say any more until I get the nod from the studio. But yes.
The previous attempt in the adapting the series was by Mark Burnett and The WB (before it became The CW) back in 2005 with Michelle Forbes playing Miranda Zero, Josh Hopkins as Sean Flynn, Jenni Baird as Dr. Katrina Finch and Aimee Garcia as Aleph.
Here's an official description of the series from WildStorm:
Miranda Zero, the mysterious leader/benefactor/recruiter of Global Frequency is a woman with a mission. She saves people. She and 1,000 others make up the most diverse team of specialists the planet has ever seen. Their job? To save the world, usually before anyone else notices there's a problem.

I will watch anything Ellis' make.
-access out. Godspeed!
