Gareth Edwards's Godzilla opened to an impressive $103 million from 64 markets overseas. Combined with the $93,205,000 million earned over the weekend in the US, Godzilla has earned a total $196,205,000 million worldwide making it the number 1 movie in the world.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 earned $31.5 million internationally, which brings its foreign total to $461 million. Domestically it earned 16.8 Million with a total of $172,170,000 million. Making its Worldwide Box Office a total of $633,170,000 million.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier finally crossed the $700 million mark. Cap has earned $452,800,000 million internationally, $250,627,000 domestically with a total of $703,427,000. Cap is also highest grossing movie in the world to date even though domestically it’s in second place after The Lego Movie and internationally is behind The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Frozen has now passed $1.2 billion worldwide after holding first place in Japan for the 10th week in a row, how is this CBM relevant you ask? Well it looks like by next weekend it will dethrone last year’s Iron Man 3, which earned an impressive $1.25 billion, from 2013’s highest grossing and move it to 6th on the list of highest grossing movies of all time.
