If there's one thing all CBM Subscribers have in common is that we all would love to have superpowers. We get that question all the time "What superpowers would you like to have?". I myself would love to have the Cat abilities like Catwomen but more masculine. To be extremely quick, see in the dark, always land on my feet and I'd have razor sharp claws. I'd have a really cool name like "Nyne". Nine lives get it? I thought about this.

But lets be honest if we did have superpowers we you really use your power for the good of mankind? and I can't say that I would. If I had superpowers I would probably use them for selfish reasons. To me, It'll be hard to fight that urge. Now I wouldn't be a stone Criminal, but I'd definitely make life easier for me. Who in there life has never stolen anything? I know I have. But it's only been petty theft. Like Candy, and staples from my job. But with powers, Theft would no longer be petty. I'm talking robbing banks at night. I won't abused my powers though Like I'd fight crime but I'd only saved Pretty women.(tryna get Laid)lol Just kidding!....No I'm not but if there was someone getting beat up or a burning building and I was the only one who can save them, I'd definitely do it and I would have one rule I would never physically harm anyone unless provoked. I only steal if I had to but I'd steal in a big way. and My costume would be phenomenal. I would be discreet about my abilities. I would like to be a myth that people would only catch glimpse of. but it's only fantasy though.

So I'm asking CBM if you had superhuman abilities would you really use them for good? You know where I stand.

Well, I always did think that the power to alter reality has been a pretty great power. In all honesty, I don't think that i'd have the stomach to be out saving the world if i had superpowers. And who says that you have to have powers to be a superhero? What's stopping a guy from putting on a costume and fighting for justice? If people can get past the Idea that Heroism is limited to the world of comics, and can get past the fear of crime fighting, what's to stop them from attempting it?

I think I would totally abuse and exploit my powers for personal gain..at first! Then when I was happy I'd turn to the ol crime fighting lark:)

Honestly I would be an Anti-Hero,I'll help stop a Bank robbery but I would steal a little before I leave(Gotta make a living!)

And for powers I guss I'd go with Electricity(inFAMOUS!)and either teloporting or super speed and I wouldnt really wear a costume but like a Hoodie(its cold in NY!) with body armor underneath but it'll have my Superhero color scheme.

The word good is subjective, and I take it to mean something that isn't morally wrong, and I consider a lot of things morally wrong while there are some things you guys probably consider wrong that I don't so.....let's just say I would have fun with it. I would want to be omnipotent.....Yeah, I would want either unlimited power or none at all. Or a gazillion dollars to build my own Batman or Ironman suit.

I have actually thought about this a lot more than any healthy 27 year old should! I'd make sure me and my family are in a good position first. Then I'd do good. As to what scale that good is (petty crime or the odd trip out to the middle east) very much depends on powers. When I am fighting the bad guys I'd do whatever I think it takes to get the job done. A petty thief doesn't warrant a collapsed building but an evil dictator will go down whatever the cost! Obviously I'd try to keep innocent people safe but sometimes you can't save everyone!

It would depend on the powers. If I had my own choice, I'd choose telekinetic/telepath of the caliber of Jean and Nate Grey. Then, you'd have no need to commit a crime to obtain your personal 'utopia'. If I had the powers of my comic idol (Gambit) I'd likely choose a similar life-style as a master thief and maybe even take it to the level of assassination, with some scruples of course. I'd start with Rush Limbaugh lol. I wouldn't be a patrolling crime-fighter in a costume, but more of something resembling what X-Factor does. One of the most important things would be to find others. This is a topic I can go into great detail with as I've thought about it since I was 7.

When I was younger my first thought was to be able to rob banks without getting caught or use it to score with chicks in some way. Or like Rickly said up there, gain invisibilty to uh, "view" things with impunity.

I used to just wish I could stop time, except for me of course. That way, if I was tired I could just stop time and go to sleep. If I had a deadline, no problem. I could put everything off until the last second, literally. They would call me "MasterProcraster-nater-Lad". Then I realized that if time didn't stop for me, I would continue aging. So probably in about a month I would get really fat and age about 20 years, then I would kill myself. In fact, I'm surprised more superheroes don't kill themselves over the constant stress of their lives or the shear danger of their powers.

Take Superman for example:

I'm sorry Lois, I was trying to give you a dirty look for that comment you just made but instead I melted your face off with my heat vision. Your smelly corpse is stinking up this Target. Let me get you outta here at super speed so no one knows. Oops I just destroyed a Target. Maybe I shouldn't have exited the building beyond the speed of sound. The pressure difference sucked everything and everyone out the front doors. It looked like a shrapnely sausage link belching into the parking lot.

I guess the first thing to do as a Super Powered being is learn how not to use your powers!

I don't think I'd commit many real crimes, unless you consider taking my frustrations out on criminals a crime. I mean, I'd probably be a mean sumbitch to any criminals I caught.

Also, If you had powers, you could make a considerable living legimitalely. Remember Spider man wrestling before Ben was killed?(he could have done much better financially if he'd thought about it), and how about Wonder Man as the invulnerable Hollywood stunt man?

super powers and what you do with them? sounds interesting :P

well it depends on the superpowers given....flight? invisibility? speed and agility? superhuman strength? immortality? retractable claws? ability to heal fast? wow! the list could go on...but like the previous comment, do we really need to have superpowers just to be a hero (or a villain?)

anyway for the fun of it, i will want to have either:
a) a power ring (power battery included)
b) power of teleportation ala-Jumper
c)money :P

with a power ring, i will be able to do amazing things with my will only...

with the power to teleport i can go anywhere...

with money i can fill in my and my family's needs first before i embark on a heroic adventure/misadventure :P

so in the answer to the question: will i use my superpowers (if i have one) to do good? the answer is a gray area...ideally i would want to say yes, but we need to fill in our needs first, that is being realistic. We need to help ourselves first before helping others.

on the other hand, if i say no, i would feel like neglecting a gift given...there is a reason why i have those powers so i must find the reason and fulfill them...it's like the boss giving you more paperwork and more responsiblity but appointing you his VP...What a dilemma

So maybe i will just pick C)...as rich as Bruce Wayne or Tony Stark...no harm done :D
good day to all!
