Duncan Jones Reveals That He'll Direct A 2000 AD Movie, And ROGUE TROOPER Is A Very Safe Bet
The other night, Duncan Jones (Moon, Warcraft, Mute) announced that his next project will be "a pretty special" comic book movie, and now the director has (all but) revealed that it'll be Rogue Trooper...
After revealing that his next project would be a comic book movie this past Friday, Duncan Jones has now shared a huge hint... actually, scratch that - he's pretty much confirmed that it'll be an adaptation of 2000 AD character Rogue Trooper!
The Warcraft director shared the following video to Twitter, and it begins with a little poem that lists off several 2000 AD characters such as Slaine, Strontium Dog and Judge Dredd, before Jones removes his hat to reveal that he's now sporting Rogue's signature Mohawk.
For those unfamiliar with the character, Rogue is a "G.I." (Genetic Infantryman) who is genetically engineered to be immune to almost all known toxins. He roams the wasteland in search of the Traitor General accompanied by a helmet, gun and backpack that contain the personalities of his fallen comrades.
We have no idea how far along this Rogue Trooper adap is, but we're sure to find out more in the buildup to SDCC next week.
