Warner Bros. has announced that the new trailer for Denis Villeneuve's Dune is coming exclusively to IMAX on July 21 and 22. The full-length teaser will debut alongside a new "exclusive look" at the film, which will most likely be an extended clip.
We found out that the sci-fi adaptation had been pushed back from October 1 to October 22 last month. The movie is still set to debut simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max, and we recently got confirmation that it will have its out-of-competition world premiere on Friday, September 3 at the Toronto International Film Festival.
No word on when/if the new trailer will be released online, but we'll be sure to keep you updated. For now, you can check out a few snippets of new footage below - including our first real glimpse of the vile Baron Harkonnen.
For those unfamiliar with the source material, Dune follows the Atreides family as they relocate to the desolate planet of Arrakis to assume control of the production of the most valuable resource in the galaxy, the Spice Melange. Unfortunately, an act of treachery soon makes an outcast of The Duke Atreides' youngest son Paul, and he must accept his destiny as a powerful prophet of the Arrakis natives known as The Fremen.
