We really don't have a whole lot to go on here, but speculation is mounting that Barry Keoghan may have joined the cast of Dune: Part Two after the Eternals actor sent out a cryptic Tweet following last night's announcement that the sequel has been officially greenlit.
Keoghan, who plays Druig in the Marvel Studios movie due out next week, Tweeted out a pair of emojis almost immediately after the news went public, and many fans are now convinced that he's signed on to play the key role of Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen.
You might think this is a bit of a stretch (to say the least), but Warner Bros. and director Denis Villeneuve have most likely been thinking about casting this character for a long time, and could, conceivably, have added Keoghan to the ensemble without announcing the news. The Irish actor has also been spotted out and about with Dune star Timothée Chalamet on several occasions.
In Frank Herbert's novel, Feyd is the younger nephew of Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, and is almost as cruel and cunning as his grotesque uncle. Many fans were surprised that the character didn't appear in Part One, but he will almost certainly play a prominent role as a principal antagonist in the sequel. Sting played Feyd in David Lynch's '80s adaptation.
