RICK AND MORTY Has Finally Been Renewed - And For A Lot More Than Just One Additional Season!

Rejoice, Rick and Morty fans! Adult Swim's hilariously bonkers animated sci-fi series has finally been renewed for a fourth season - and most likely a lot more than that! Get the details after the jump...

Fans were becoming a little concerned that there was no sign of a fourth season renewal for Rick and Morty, but Adult Swim has now washed those worries away with some awesome news.

Not only with the show return for another season, but a long-term deal has been made for a massive 70 additional episodes. If Rick and Morty follows its usual 10-episode structure, that works out at 7 more seasons.

Also, 70 episodes will bring the show up to 101 in total, meaning it'll be eligible for syndication.

Unfortunately, there's still no word on when we can expect the season 4 premiere, but hopefully that announcement won't be too far off.

As long as they step it up from Season 3 quality-wise I'm on board. There were a few episodes that were some of the best of the series but most of the season felt like filler.

@SpideyPuffsMJ - Yeah they need to bring in something to add a breath of fresh air into the series, I say they go to Dan's friend Alex Hirsch, he could add a lot to the series

@MarkV - true but alex has nothing to do with Rick and Morty, so bringing him in to work on the series could add a lot

@MarkV - I had no idea about this at all, but I just watched a whole video on all the ways they connect and wow, loved Gravity Falls, never watched Rick and Morty, but if they found a way to do a more direct crossover I’d definitely watch both. Bill Cipher is a terrifying villain

YES!!!

It is possible to like a show without comparing it to another. Things can exist on their own ya know?

Buncha freaking cynics.
