It wasn’t too long ago that Ron Howard teased fans by saying a new trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story would be coming soon, and many figured it wouldn't be such a long wait considering the film is just a month away. Now, the official Star Wars Twitter account has announced the release date for the trailer by releasing a video which sees the Millennium Falcon’s engines start up before heading into action.

Unfortunately, the tweet doesn’t provide an exact time for the trailer release, but it does definitely confirm it will be here tomorrow.

There are currently no details on what we can expect to see from the tomorrow's trailer, but fans — particularly those still on the fence — will likely want to see more about the film's plot. So, what do you folks think? Are you excited to see more of young Han and Chewie's adventures?

UPDATE:

A new sneak peek from the upcoming trailer reveals that the trailer will be attached to tomorrow's episode of American Idol. Also, it provides us with a brief new shot of Han facing off against the villanous Enfys Nest and her Cloud Riders.

It is unclear at what point during the competition show we can expect to see the trailer, so fans can expect it to drop anytime between 8 p.m. -10 p.m. ET (5 p.m. - 7 p.m. PT).

I hope it is good, but I’m of the opinion the more you know of some characters or mythology the less impact it makes.

E.G. I don’t think it is more enjoyable not knowing if Han is lying about the Falcon’s speed or if won it clean as an audience we are left wondering if we are being conned by the conman smuggler

@Knightrider - I think it is more enjoyable not knowing

@Knightrider - Exactly. The new films are actively taking away from the original films.

Films like this and Rogue One have the potential to demystify the originals due to the time period/setting, however I think 7, 8, and 9 have a better chance at building on the mythology or taking it in new directions.

I mean, if 4, 5 and 6 were meant to be on some sacred platform of Star Wars perfection Lucas wouldn't have made the dreadfully embarrassing to blandly mediocre prequels then sold everything to Disney knowing what they planned to do with his legacy.

For fans that want to hold on to a sense of nostalgia they felt with 4, 5, and 6 I'd suggest not watching anything Star Wars related ever again. If you must, then you have to let the past die....or at the very least keep it in it's place.

@Humperdink - I really think more people need to practice head-canon

like, to me, rogue one isn't part of star wars. Anakin was played by a better actor. that IS star wars to me. I can pick and choose from the endless canon as I please. Do similar things with comics. Unless something gets out-right referenced, I'm golden.

@Humperdink - Let's say you're watching ANH again. Luke looks out at the suns at his hopes and dreams, but in actuality, we know he's really looking out at that titty-milk monster. All the character's efforts throughout the OT mean nothing, because there was a galaxy-wide reset after ROTJ. Yes, they can build on the OT, but that doesn't mean what's built will be good or appreciated or complimentary to the OT.

@BloodyBed - That is ridiculous. You're literally living in fantasy land.

@BloodyBed - but sure wasnt a new hope directly referenced in rogue one

@Nebula - newsflash: this IS fantasy land

@Solarkalel85 - of course it was, but to me, rogue one never happened. all good.

oh I get what you are saying. a movie I do consider canon would have to mention a moment from rogue one for me to acknowledge that moment's existence. A new hope is real to me, so it doesn't even need to meet those criteria.
Nebula
Nebula - 4/8/2018, 8:47 AM
@BloodyBed - No, it's not. We talk about fantasy land in the real world and when we do we consider the whole, real, canon thing. That's like watching 10 Cloverfield Lane and saying "Well, I didn't like the ending so to me that isn't canon. 10/10"

@Nebula - and why does that bother you?
Nebula
Nebula - 4/8/2018, 1:09 PM
@NathimusPrime - When did I say it bothered me? I'm saying it's a ridiculous mentality. You don't judge something based on what it isn't (your imaginary version of it), you judge it based on what it is.
BloodyBed
BloodyBed - 4/8/2018, 6:20 PM
@Nebula - who said anything about judging star wars here? yeah when I look at the franchise objectively I consider all the movies, all the details.

this is just how I get enjoyment out of these movies. By ignoring the stuff I don't like and using my own imagination to fill in the details. stop being such a prick.
Nebula
Nebula - 4/8/2018, 6:28 PM
@BloodyBed - I'm not being a prick in the slightest, you calling me a prick is more prickish than anything I've said.

And now it's clear why you liked TLJ then.

@JK2point0 - I know, the thing i'm most disappointed about with this film so far is that they didn't even attempt to make Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover look like Harrison Ford and Billy Dee Williams. I was absolutely certain that they were gonna put makeup on them to make them look like the originals. But seeing as the only Star Wars film i have really enjoyed from Disney has been Rogue One, i'm looking forward to more 'A Star Wars Stories'
