Is Chewie going to have a reason to be jealous? Variety reports that the young Han Solo movie is going to feature a new CG character that'll be played by Pheobe Waller-Bridge. No other details are provided, but whoever she's playing will apparently be "a significant part of the ensemble, similarly to key Star Wars characters like Chewbacca and C-3P0".
Waller-Bridge should be recognizable to our British readers from the likes of Broadchurch and Drifters, and has recently found critical acclaim for her Amazon series Fleabag, which she created and stars in.
The still untitled Han Solo movie recently commenced production and is set to hit theaters on May 25, 2018. The film will also star Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke and Alden Ehrenreich as the budding space smuggler of the title.
