Kevin Feige's STAR WARS Movie Finds A Writer In LOKI's Michael Waldron As That Series Gets A Season 2

There's some big Star Wars and Marvel news here, as Kevin Feige has tapped Loki's Michael Waldron to pen his movie set in a Galaxy Far, Far Away before he starts work on a season 2 of the Disney+ series.

We first heard that Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy had enlisted Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige for a new Star Wars movie back in 2019, and we finally have a noteworthy update on the project.

According to Deadline, Feige has turned to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness writer and Loki head writer and creator Michael Waldron to pen the screenplay for his mystery project. This is part of what the trade calls an "unprecedented overall deal" the scribe has signed with Disney - a good indication that he plans to work with the studio for many years to come.

It's noted that, "Besides writing this new Star Wars film, the deal is also expected to bring back Waldron in some capacity for season 2 of Loki."

We've been hearing rumblings about Loki receiving a season two for some time now, but this is the closest we've had to confirmation that it's moving ahead. There's no word on when that or Feige's Star Wars movie are scheduled to begin production, but you have to believe both are a priority for Disney.

Among Waldron's other credits are upcoming Starz wrestling drama Heels starring Stephen Amell, and Adult Swim's Rick and Morty (which saw him win an Emmy for his season four work).

Are you excited to see what Feige has planned for the Galaxy Far, Far Away?

MCU heroes we think could beat Superman in a fight!

10. The Vision

Vision

In Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Vision became the first hero other than Thor to lift Mjolnir.

The fact he's worthy is a big deal the Russo Brothers didn't capitalize on in the three Marvel Studios movies they directed featuring the android, and it felt like they de-powered him to an extent. Pit The Vision who defeated Ultron and wielded the God of Thunder's hammer against Superman, however, and the Man of Steel may very well come out on the losing end.

The Vision could shake off Superman's blows by becoming intangible, while then becoming dense enough to put a real hurting on the DC Universe's most iconic hero.

It would be a close contest, but one that could go in The Vision's favour.

The Russo brothers have to collaborate with Feige on this project. They would be perfect for directing the movie.

You have to think that Disney and Lucas Films views the new trilogy as a failure.
None of those characters are returning to any of the upcoming projects and with the success of The Mandalorian they’re shying away even more from that dumpster fire of a trilogy.

Based on the way they're doing phases, I wouldn't be surprised if the use Feige to expand the High Republic stuff.

As long there's no Kathleen Kennedy's crap.

Hope Favreau/Filoni/Lucas will give some input.

@RevanOfKrypton - You do realize this is ALL Kathleen Kennedy's "crap," right. The Mandalorian is hers. Feige's movie is hers. Every show announced at the stockholder expo is hers. She has the same role in each of these projects as she did in the Sequels. Yet somehow that never gets acknowledged by people like you...

The "Favrreauloniverse" of Star Wars in the next few years is going to be EPIC

Yes, it will. Favreau is taking all the lessons learned launching the MCU and bringing it to the SW universe. Filoni is the star wars geek who was rewarded by being given the keys to the castle. They have recruited a slate of directors and writers who were SW fans as kids and understand what the property is all about.

If anybody thinks that Grogu is going away your are kidding yourself. He is the focal point and through point for the next decade of films. Considering Yoda was some 900 years old when he died and Grogu is only 50 they could easily go 100 or 200 years into the future and have him play a role. Taika is making a movie and that will be over the top. I'll bet dollars to donuts that Robert Rodriguez will also continue to be involved and he is a certifiable badass.

Epic may not be an epic enough adjective to describe it.

I was wondering if these shows would be one-offs are have multiple seasons. Something like Wandavision I feel like would be limited to one but Loki can do many as it's set outside the main continuity.
