Following Monday's trailer and those photos from this morning, Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilm have debuted fifteen additional photos, in ultra hi-resolution, from the upcoming Ron Howard-directed spinoff, Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Alden Ehrenreich (Rules Don't Apply) stars as the titular smuggler-turned-hero with a supporting cast that includes Donald Glover (Atlanta), Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Woody Harrelson (War for the Planet of the Apes), Thandie Newton (Westworld), Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Goodbye Christopher Robin), Joonas Suotamo (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), and Paul Bettany (Avengers: Infinity War), amongst others.

ARROW

Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) looking up at his future ship, the Millenium Falcon. Expect to see the legendary ship get a lot of screentime this May.

ARROW

An unidentified space train? Where's it going?

ARROW

Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke as the femme fatale Qi'ra, Han's oldest friend and a fellow cast-off. The trailer reveals her in a number of different guises, so expect the unexpected when dealing with this intriguing newcomer.

ARROW

Golden Globe-winner and 2x Primetime Emmy-winner Donald Glover as the gambling Lando Calrissian, who famously loses the Millenium Falcon to Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) after a game of sabacc.

ARROW

Another intriguing shot of Emilia Clarke as Qi'ra and she's looking considerably different than the last time we saw her.

ARROW

Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) looking out at a snowy horizon.

ARROW

Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) and his trusty first mate Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo) sharing a moment between best friends.

ARROW

Mission: Impossible II and Westworld star Thandie Newton as Val. We literally don't know anything about her, but unsubstantiated rumors are pointing toward her having some sort of important connection to our protagonist - although, it's more likely she's a member of Beckett's crew.

ARROW

Woody Harrelson as Tobias Beckett, a notorious criminal and Han's mentor. Expect him to play a significant role in shaping young Han into the lovable scoundrel we meet in A New Hope

ARROW

Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich), Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo), Qi'ra (Emilia Clarke), and Tobias Beckett (Woody Harrelson) presumably aboard the Millennium Falcon, looking up at something big.

ARROW

Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) with a hand on his holster, which is probably not a good sign for those baddies in the distance.

ARROW

Meet L3-37, a droid played via a motion capture performance from Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Entertainment Weekly also teases that she may be a little more idiosyncratic than your typical droid, which should be interesting to say the least.

ARROW

Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) meets with Tobias Beckett (Woody Harrelson) on an interesting looking planet. We don't know much about what's going on, but it's probably not a stretch to assume that their meeting might revolve around planning a heist.

ARROW

Alden Ehrenreich will have some really big shoes to fill as he attempts to breathe new life into a character made iconic by the incomparable Harrison Ford so many decades ago.

I dont get why they went with such a dreary colour palette and grim aesthetic for a movie about characters as eminently fun as Han, Chewie and Lando. This should be a the sort of bright action packed romp that just makes you feel like you're in for a rollicking good time - like Oceans 11 but in space.

The sad grim look was a perfect fit for Rogue One, but I'm not so convinced here.

So after the trailer, which I just got around to watching, I can fully confirm that the han solo movie is indeed terrible.

*SPOILER" Emilia Clarke is actually playing Han Solo in this movie. It was Rian Johnson's pitch: "They will never expect us to throw out Han Solo's established gender... if Star Wars is going to move forward and break boundaries, gender cannot be an issue." It's brilliant... everyone is going to be so surprised!

How is it that everything looks good in the Han Solo movie except Han Solo?

I dislike that droids name VERY MUCH.

It's a little on the nose for my liking.
