Warner Bros. (via IGN) has released a series of brief promo videos for Denis Villeneuve's highly-anticipated adaptation of Frank Herbert's Dune, which is set to hit theaters and the HBO Max streaming service this October.

Each clip spotlights a different main character, and features all-new footage of them in action. Some shots are carried over from the most recent trailer, but there we get to see a lot more from the likes of "Beast" Rabban (Dave Bautista), Stilgar (Javier Bardem), and Duncan Idaho (Jason Momoa).

Check out the videos by clicking on the thread below. We also have details on Insight's Editions' upcoming tie-in book, The Art and Soul of Dune, which is set to hit shelves Oct 22.

Written by Dune executive producer Tanya Lapointe, THE ART AND SOUL OF DUNE is a visually dazzling exploration of the filmmaking process that gives unparalleled insight into the project’s genesis—from its striking environmental and creature designs to its intricate costume concepts and landmark digital effects. The Art and Soul of Dune also features exclusive interviews with key members of the cast and crew, including director/co-writer/producer Denis Villeneuve, stars Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson and Oscar Isaac, and many more, delivering a uniquely candid account of the hugely ambitious international shoot.

You can pre-order the book and the special collector's edition HERE.

It sucks so hard that this has so much working against it right now.

@inkniron -

Tragic. Dune is an epic saga and it looks as if this director has done everything he could to honor it.

As I did with Suicide Squad...I'm buying tickets and taking the family.
I think directors who respect and appreciate the craft should be rewarded for it.

It's obvious just about everything is gonna flop at the box office in North Anerica this year, but will this be the flick that essentially destroys what's left of non-streaming viewing in the west?

Quality aside, Dune will be a massive flop and won't be saved by China. I think it's very likely we'll see the true death of movie theatres in the U.S. within the next 2 years. Again, this was inevitable regardless, but the process will just be sped up imo.

@Feralwookiee - I am betting it won't be released in China. The religious themes won't make it past the review boards or whatever they are called.

@CharleyBologna - I think there was this article that confirmed Dune was given a go to release in china. No date has been given though.

@CharleyBologna - Yes. You might be right.
Same for Shang-Chi and The Eternals is CERTAINLY not getting released in China.
All just about guaranteed to flop now.

@LameLuka - I googled it. You are right. All that talk of Jihad, the superbeing as a messianic character... shocked. Unless that is somehow turned down in the first part. Those themes, while in the first half, are more weighted to the second half.

Absolute BO bomb or not,

This makes me sad that this movie will bomb. It looks incredible but if The Suicide Squad flopped so hard despite being a sequel to a billion dollar movie during covid, Dune cant possibly survive.

@ZacktheSavior - Suicide Squad made $746 million, which is no chump change for such a terrible movie, but it was well short of a billion dollars obviously.

That said, I agree with you; no matter if Dune is bad or good, it will be a huge flop and we'll never see a Part 2.
