Netflix has released the official teaser for the upcoming second season of DreamWorks Animation's Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, which is set to debut on the streaming giant sometime in 2021.

While plot details are being kept under wraps, the new season will presumably pick up shortly after the events of season one, with the six young teenage campers left stranded on Isla Nublar and forced to fend for themselves. It's also expected to move past the events of the first movie, so there's no telling where the story may go.

The main cast of Paul-Mikél Williams (Westworld), Jenna Ortega (You), Ryan Potter (Titans), Raini Rodriguez (Austin & Ally), Sean Giambrone (The Goldbergs) and Kausar Mohammed (Silicon Valley) are all expected to return to voice their respective roles, along with Jameela Jamil (The Good Place) and Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick), who play their adult camp counselors.

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous follows a group of six teenagers chosen for a once-in-a-lifetime experience at a new adventure camp on the opposite side of Isla Nublar. But when dinosaurs wreak havoc across the island, the campers are stranded. Unable to reach the outside world, they’ll need to go from strangers to friends to family if they’re going to survive. Scott Kreamer (Pinky Malinky) and Lane Lueras (Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny) serve as showrunners and executive producers. The series is executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, and Colin Trevorrow. Zack Stentz serves as consulting producer.

Haven't seen the first season (yet?), but I doubt I'll watch this. Let's see this get cancelled after the second season

The first season was great, a lot fun in eight episodes give another perpective to the first Jurassic World. This one appears that cover the gap between the first movie and Fallen Kingdom, I see the T-Rex and another familiar dinosaur that appears in the second movie.

Did anyone actually watch this, and was it good enough to recommend?

Haven't seen it but read a positive review of it that talked glowingly about it's ties into the greater Jurrassic Park universe.
I'm waiting for a reason to watch it but honestly there's way too much in my schedule to even give watching it a thought.

But I expect tons of animated shows like this getting mass renewals in the foreseeable future. Animated shows can be worked on with little effort in the current Covid climate.
Expect more live-action shows to get canned tho

The first season was good, it started off slow and boring for me, yet the later half was better.

I wish they spent more money on the humans. I understand people watch this because of the dinosaurs, yet at the same time you want the human models to look good too.

As for the second season hopefully there will be more dinosaurs, that haven't been seen since Jurassic Park, like the Dilophosaurus and Spinosaurus.
