According to
Jurassic Park fan site
Jurassic Outpost, Amblin Television is developing a live-action
Jurassic World TV series. They reveal very little beyond that, but add that Colin Trevorrow and Steven Spielberg have boarded the project as producers alongside Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank.
Vancouver, Canada (which is where The CW's Arrowverse TV shows are filmed) is said to be the primary production location, and that probably shouldn't come as a surprise both for budgetary reasons and the fact
Jurassic World: Dominion has been partially shot there. The site goes on to claim that this show will likely debut on the Peacock streaming service in 2021 or 2022.
It will also be set in same continuity as the
Jurassic World movies which makes perfect sense seeing as the concept of dinosaurs rampaging through out world is the perfect premise for a TV show.
Frank and Falvey are the co-presidents of Amblin Television, and they recently served as executive producers on critically acclaimed TV series The Americans on FX.
We'll need to hear something a little more concrete about this
Jurassic World TV series before being sure it's happening, but fan sites like these don't tend to share bogus information as they run the risk of running off their readers. You can't deny that it sounds like a fun idea, though, and with so many big screen franchises now coming to the small screen, this one is ripe for development.
