Since were here, anyone think ronda was killed too quickly. ALso i hate the grenade scene.

@BillCipher999 - That grenade scene was hilarious! Everything about that movie they did the exact opposite from cookie cutter situations.

@BillCipher999 - i love ronda and grenades

@Matador - fair enough, i just wanted a epic scene.

I thought that scene where Larson's character tried to push that helicopter was funny. In my head, I'm like, "Come on now. Stop it. You ain't Captain Marvel yet."

I am in support of the "Monsterverse" especially if it will someday add Gamera...BUT...if the suits call the upcoming King Kong sequel...King Kong versus Godzilla, then I can tell I will sour on this world building eventually. Have they not learned their lesson?

@Forthas - One MILLION upvotes for Gamera.

In related news, I'm being told that the running time of King Kong vs Godzilla will only be 5 minutes. Godzilla uses his Atomic Breath attack on Kong, Kong turns into a fiery skeleton, Godzilla laughs and walks away, then credits :)

Indoorsman - 3/13/2017, 7:29 AM
@Asturgis - Yeah that's my issue too. Gorillas are flamable - just light him up!

Plus, Big G has like 200 feet on Kong.

But whatever I'm glad this did well. I want more big budget kaiju movies.
CaptainElrond
CaptainElrond - 3/13/2017, 7:32 AM
@Asturgis - Well i think kong has a few advantges over godzilla. Agilty being major, with the big buildings and y scaperers, he should be able to strike goijira hard and strong, and he can use tools.

I still must go with godzilla though
Asturgis
Asturgis - 3/13/2017, 7:36 AM
@BillCipher999 - I know man, I was just kidding, obviously they will fight, end-up in some kind of a draw, then team-up to defeat some big bad evil for our pleasure. Story will be trash, but it could be a fun movie :)
Asturgis
Asturgis - 3/13/2017, 7:37 AM
@Indoorsman - Gorillas are, indeed, flammable lol That really made me laugh :)
Matador
Matador - 3/13/2017, 7:48 AM
@Indoorsman @Asturgis - There is a scene where Hank Marlow mentions to everyone where as Kong is still not yet fully grown and later see Kong's parent's graveyard. So chance by the next movie who knows what height he'll be.
osideous
osideous - 3/13/2017, 10:48 AM
@Matador - i was going to say this. Marlow did say Kong was still growing. It was the scene when he first tells them about the Skullcrawlers.
Matador
Matador - 3/13/2017, 10:54 AM
@osideous - Bingo! Forgot where he said but I did remember it.
Floke
Floke - 3/13/2017, 12:22 PM
@Asturgis - Or, Godzilla chokes as he eats Kong, and the rest of the movie is about the humans trying to perform a Heimlich maneuver of epic proportion in order to save Godzilla?
Asturgis
Asturgis - 3/13/2017, 1:29 PM
@Floke - Wow, Floke, shows how much of a fan you are! Your theory is completely impossible. Godzilla only eats Ramen prepared in the fanciest nuclear reactors. Everyone knows that :)
Floke
Floke - 3/13/2017, 3:40 PM
@Asturgis - yeah, of corse he only eats that, he almost choked on Kong, so now we know why.. :)
TechNation
TechNation - 3/14/2017, 7:16 AM
@Indoorsman - Well, the movie says that Kong is basically a youngin in this film and is not even a full adult; he is still growing and this was set in the 70's...

You missed another pretty big one: John Goodman's reason for hunting Kong, and the reason that Monarch was created in the first place. Goodman's character was the only survivor of a the destruction of a ship by something in 1954.

1954.

The ship was destroyed by Godzilla. They went after Kong in this movie BECAUSE of Godzilla. OK, maybe it's not huge, but I got excited when I saw that little Easter egg.

Very good interpretation of the last easter egg Josh. Good article.
