Today marked the first day of the 2015 Las Vegas Licensing Expo and while we've already seen more than a few goodies from Warner Bros.' upcoming superhero event Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice, there are quite a few other upcoming films on display as well. The good folks at Collider managed to snap a photo of an early logo for Lionsgate's upcoming Power Rangers reboot and well, it's basically every Power Rangers logo ever, save for the logo used in the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series.

ICYMI, director Dean Israelite recently provided an update on the film, read about it HERE!

Check out the photo below and keep scrolling for a small casting update:

With the reboot not arriving until January 13, 2017 at the earliest, it shouldn't be too surprising that casting has yet to begin. However, according to Heroic Hollywood, it looks when the process does kick off, Lionsgate will be looking at relatively unknown actors to play the actual Power Rangers as the studio wants them all to believably play characters in their late teens.

Considering the Power Rangers franchise has a long-running history of casting unknowns as the iconic Rangers, this really shouldn't come as a huge surprise to anyone invested in the property. However, if you were hoping to see popular fan-favorite picks such as Chloë Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass), Liam Hemsworth (The Hunger Games), and/or Donald Glover (The Martian), amongst others, say "It's Morphin' Time," you may be a tad disappointed.

The report also states that it's highly unlikely the upcoming movie will feature former actors from the popular '90s television series suiting up on film. Does this mean the movie will be a full-on reimagining that pays homage to the original series while moving in a different direction, or is the door still potentially open for former stars such as Austin St. JohnWalter JonesAmy Jo Johnson, and David Yost to make appearances? Still too early to say, but with the movie expected to start production later this year, expect to learn more very soon, possibly as early as next month's San Diego Comic-Con!

What do you guys make of all this? Sound off with your thoughts below!

After 10,000 years of imprisonment, the evil sorceress Rita Repulsa and her loyal minions are freed when astronauts on a routine mission in space accidentally open her dumpster prison on the Moon. A team of “five teenagers with attitude” — Jason, Zack, Kimberly, Billy and Trini — receive superpowers beyond their wildest dreams so they can defend the Earth as the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

So it's just the original logo. Sweet, no reason to change it.

I've said before I'd be shocked if they cast any well-known actors.

As much as some of us feel nostalgic towards the Power Rangers, it's not exactly a franchise that's going to help actors' careers. IF they cast any known actors, it will likely be because they have a martial arts or gymnastic background and they can do a lot of their own stunts.

I mentioned before Taylor Lautner(?) from Twilight might be as "known" an actor they'd cast because I saw a trailer for one of his recent movies where he appeared to do a lot of his own parkour stunts.

So, you don't know this was the synopsis for the original Power Rangers series??

I personally think it's better that they want new actors. This way people aren't coming in already knowing how the different actors were picked. Plus going with more fresh faces is cheaper too.

@Greengo - "Give me Voltron."

I hope this movie does good for no other reason than it might improve the chances of a live-action Silverhawks movie.

It would be funny/awesome if Cranston is Zordon in the movie, since he voiced some of the villains in the original series.

@YeezusWept-Power Rangers WAS shit!"The lames" watched either one!

When are you '90s kids going to realize that MMPR came off as a live-action cheesy spoof of the Japanese super-robot genre! I found it to be extremely offensive, while kids that were never exposed to anime take it seriously -- which is MIND-BOGGLING to me!!!

Screw Kamen Riders and Ultraman! Go and watch some Speed Racer, Gigantor, Astro Boy, Battle of The Planets, Force Five/Shogun Warriors, Gundam, Robotech, Mighty Orbots, Voltron and TransFormers! Please gain some perspective and get a grip!!

@JonF

Calm down sir, my comment was partially facetious (MMPR and BeetleBorgs being adapted by the same company).

I know that those shows were shitty Americanized rip-offs and present me despises it when similar stuff happens now. But those shows were part of my childhood, so naturally I have a bias. No 4-year-old is going to turn their nose up towards inferior American-produced knockoffs.

I've since gained some perspective—my dad introduced me to Gigantor, Speed Racer, Tobor the 8th man, etc./ had an anime phase in HS—thanks for the concern though!

I'm cautiously optimistic about this movie. I loved the series when I was a kid and had a fun time binge watching the first four seasons of it on DVD a while ago but I think it should stay away from the continuity of the TV show. The show was cheesy and kid friendly but I think this version should follow Marvel's example of being good for both kids and adults.
