Gary Oldman RoboCop reboot

"I liked this particular project because I thought it made sense- as a remake/reboot, I thought it made sense. The original was many years ago, had great ideas in it but was very much a thing of the future, science-fiction. Technologically, we've sort of caught up with it and it felt very current, the things it was talking about. And I like José [Padilha]. When you embark on something like this, you're on it for 4-5 months and you're there on set for 12-14 hrs everyday with a [director]. If you like them, it makes life a lot easier."

He was awesome in the film! Him, SLJ and Joel Kinnaman nailed it. Michael Keaton was oddly enough the weakest of the bunch, and it showed in his scenes with Gary Oldman.

itCameFromPlanetEarth is a bland piece of shit.

remake, reboot, whatever man, this is still a good movie. It takes a similar plot as the original but does it in a very different way.

...and before you judge it and comment senselessly, watch it first.

this movie is good, it succeeds as both being a respectful remake without being pointlessly similar, and be a good movie in it's own right. I was surprised with how far they pushed the body horror for a PG-13 in Oldman/Norton's scenes working on Murphy.

Oldman's character has a pretty good arc, and I think he delved into the morality of what his character does throughout the movie really well.

I also really liked this movie, it's good.

What I liked the most though was Joel Kinnaman. I think, potentially, he would be a very decent Martian Manhunter.

Man, that suit where Dr.norton shows Alex the remnants of his body... So many feels!! Joel especially sells the absolute shock and horror and Mr. Oldman here is as empathetic as a doctor can get.
