New STAR TREK BEYOND Outtakes Reveal First Look At New Alien Race

The next installment in the Star Trek franchise will be released next year, and in anticipation, a charity campaign (known as Star Trek: To Boldly Go) has been up and running, using the film to raise money for multiple organisations. And now, in a new collection of outtakes from the set of the film, a new alien race for the sci-fi flick has seemingly been revealed! Click the jump to see for yourself!

The Star Trek: To Boldly Go charity campaign, which supports a number of charities [all nine charities are listed at the bottom of this article], has entered its final 48 hours, and screenwriter/actor Simon Pegg has released a new video to motivate people to either start or continue donating to the cause. He reiterates the prizes that you can win via donating, which are:
  • The chance to play a walking role on Justin Lin's Star Trek Beyond
  • Captain Kirk's chair
  • Two tickets to the film's premiere
On top of this, he also released a collection of outtakes from on the set of the upcoming sci-fi film. While the outtakes seem to centre on the cast filming for the Star Trek: To Boldly Go promotion, there IS something of a major reveal for the film at the 1:55 mark on the video, when a crew member walks on camera holding a bust of an alien's head. Most notably, a previously unseen Alien's head. This is quite exciting, as one of the most intriguing aspects of the Star Trek Beyond is the cast and crew's willingness to truly expand on the franchise, adding in new races and planets, something that is certainly not common when rebooting fan-favourite franchises. You can check out the video, and a screen-capture of the bust, below:

What do you guys think? Are you excited for the upcoming Star Trek threequel? Are you a fan of the idea of introducing new races and planets into the already expansive Star Trek universe? Let me know in the comments below, and be sure to like and share this article!

You can donate to the campaign here.

Star Trek Beyond is set to be released on July 8, 2016.

They ditched Alice Eve, if you search around you will see Alice Eve already said she would likely not return due to a different direction the movie is taking.

[frick]ing ridiculous. This is going to be potentially a worse fiasco than Fantastic 4. I have a really bad feeling about this movie.
