UPDATE: Word is that this FB page is actually a fake, and liking it will no more get you the trailer than turn you into a Klingon. Nothing official just yet, though it seems to be the general consensus in the blogosphere, but keep liking by all means just in case.

You can help the first trailer for J.J. Abrams' Star Trek sequel to get here sooner by "liking" the official Facebook page for the movie. The page also posted the following image from the trailer. They're really not giving anything away on this one are they?

Click HERE to get liking. Share on Facebook, Twitter and anywhere else you think this would would pick up support, and it shouldn't be too long before the trailer is with us. Star Trek Into Darkness will be released 7 months from today on May 17th, 2013.

this website needs to stick to comic book movies or just change it's domain name to movie dot com. despite that frustration, the star trek reboot was surprisingly good. great casting. more scotty this time dammit!

Yes, because there's never been a Star Trek comic.

Dammit! I finally thought that Paramount was actually getting their heads into gear and actually starting their very overdue promotion and marketing of what will be one of their biggest (if not THE biggest) of their 2013 films.

Oh well, we can't always hope that miracles will happen.

500,000? That won't take very long in my opinion, I give it a week. Cant wait to see this movie though, the last one was amazing.

are we still talking about the 'its not a comic book movie' thing. i thought its been made pretty clear that even though the website is called 'comicbookmovie', it covers films of other genres too. just like 'thatguywiththeglasses' has reviewers other than doug walker, 'comic book stores' have stuff other than just comic books, bbc covers news concerning places other than britain.

it's not a brand new concept for something to cover more than what the name suggests.
