AHSOKA: A Possible Connection Between Baylan Skoll And Supreme Leader Snoke Has Been Spotted - SPOILERS

An Easter Egg spotted in the latest episode of Ahsoka may link the mysterious dark Jedi Baylan Skoll to Supreme Leader Snoke, but what does that mean, and are they one and the same? Read on for details...

The late Ray Stevenson plays Baylan Skoll in Ahsoka, and the actor has proven to be one of the best parts of the show thus far. The mysterious dark Jedi is a force to be reckoned with and seems intent on using his relationship with Morgan Elsbeth to tap into some unknown power from another Galaxy.

To access it, he and his apprentice Shin Hati need to help the former Magistrate find Grand Admiral Thrawn. It's an intriguing subplot, though the only real intel we have beyond that is the fact that Huyang identified his lightsaber as having been a member of the Jedi Order prior to Order 66.

Some eagle-eyed fans have now pointed out that Baylan wears an obsidian ring on his finger, a strange move for even a former Jedi. It's also worth noting that it bears a striking resemblance to the ring worn by Supreme Leader Snoke in the Star Wars sequel trilogy.

We're definitely not suggesting Skoll is Snoke. At this stage, it's apparent Snoke was likely a failed clone of Emperor Palpatine who the villain used as a puppet from his refuge on Exegol. If anything, it's more likely The Mandalorian will deal with the Supreme Leader's creation seeing as Moff Gideon had a twisted interest in clones!

Instead, this Easter Egg connects the two villains in another very interesting way.

Obsidian has links to the dark side, with various tie-in materials confirming Snoke's ring was made from rock extracted from a Sith shrine beneath Darth Vader's castle on Mustafar. Skoll has confirmed he knew Anakin Skywalker in trailers so chances are he was aware of Vader as well.

Even Vader's armour was partly made from obsidian, and that's because the material is one that can easily be infused with anger and hatred (two well-known traits of the Sith). It can even power a red lightsaber, possibly meaning it's responsible for lighting up Baylan and Shin's orange blades.

It's definitely possible Baylan and Snoke are somehow connected and we can't discount the possibility those rings are one and the same. Unfortunately, it's impossible to say until we learn more about this Ahsoka villain's past and where his story is going.

Oh God... WHO GIVES A FRAK?

At this point, seriously, who gives a frak?

Everything about Disney Star Wars is awful, and you're sitting here like a simp and trying to find easter eggs in this awful show no one is watching to connect it to some awful movies everyone hates?

@HistoryofMatt - it’s one of the best shows they’ve put out what are you talking about?!

Okey dokey. So it seems to me that the only way to really sort all this out is for someone to reincarnate/reanimate John Nash (honestly I don't care if he's a clone, a variant, a random guy at the county fair who calls himself "John Nasss"), whatever. Just someone who can do the whole "yarn and tacks on a wall" thing to connect all this for us. We deserve the truth!

You'll pardon me now while I go deliver my weekly report to Marvel about how Gunn has a conspiracy to steal Marvel actors for his DCU in a special mailbox that only myself and Marvel know about.

I did notice the ring specifically, but just likened it to Knights and the whole like kinda dark King Arthur vibe I initially got from him. That was my first vibe when I noticed it, and thought it was a cool costuming touch that adds a bit more personality to the character, but that's as far as my thinking went.

I think it would be bad ass if there was like a secret order of Knights who are former Jedi but post order 66 become ruthless survivors, and Baylan and the original warrior used for Snoke were both members of this secret order of Knights.

More secret groups in Star Wars would be neat.

@TheVandalore - perhaps they all have to rule the Knights to prove themselves, and the title passes down to the new guy. Baylan once led the Knights, Snoke once led the Knights, then the mantle was passed to the grandson of Darth Vader when he became a Knight and they became known as the Knights of Ren.

"It's definitely possible Baylan and Snoke are somehow connected and we can't discount the possibility those rings are one and the same."

Uh, yes we can. They look nothing alike. Maybe they both have obsidian, but that doesn't necessarily connect them. And it's not like underneath Vader's castle is the only place Obsidian can be found. Any place with lava can have Obsidian.

But Snoke and Baylon's rings look nothing alike. There's no way they are the same ring. This whole theory of these two being connected because of their rings is a bit of a stretch.

Snoke's Ring. It clearly isn't the same ring as Baylon's:

I really don't get why anyone would form a connection from this.

"Oh my God! They are both wearing rings! So what? Are these the only two Star Wars characters that have ever worn rings? Because that's about the only connection you can form from what we know. The rings don't even resemble each other. Not even close. This is a nothing finding that will never be mentioned again, outside of something maybe mentioning that some Sith users wear rings with obsidian in them. But I doubt even that.

The problem with modern star wars is that it all leads to the shit new trilogy 😐...

This is why you need to jump 100 years ahead and forget about the past. Forget Rey and her awful trilogy and start new.💁

This is like saying that Ezra has the same stripe on his shoe as Marrok so they come from the same shoe store then that must mean they are both the same person

See, I can write speculative bullshit as well
