Harrison Ford Could Be Back On STAR WARS Set Sooner Than Expected
The worries for a delayed release for Star Wars: Episode VII seem to be dwindling down. Take a look at what has been happening with Harrison Ford that could help get the schedule for Star Wars: Episode VII back on track.
Since Harrison Ford's unfortunate injury while filming a scene in the Millenium Falcon for Star Wars: Episode VII a few months back, many people speculated (and with good reason) that further development of the film would be in trouble and would affect the release date set by Disney.
Although filming was suspended for two weeks to help accomadte Mr. Ford's injury, news would later help to feed that fear as there were reports that J.J Abrams had held meetings with Disney executives to change the release date to 2016.
As previously reported, not long after Mr. Ford's injury, he was photographed walking in London on his own with the help of a "hands-free" crutch. The not so ordinary crutch seems to help avoid any accidental pressure to the ankle as it keeps it raised, unlike a regular under the arm crutch.
Now there are new pictures of him along with video that were shot this week of him walking unassisted by a crutch or anyone else. Although not fully healed, as he can be seen somewhat limping and being extra careful when stepping of the side walk, it is safe to say that his recovery has been going better than expected.
Walking Solo!
The NY Daily News has this photo of Harrison Ford, a licensed pilot, as he is seen getting of his personal helicopter this past Monday in Santa Monica, California. In the picture one can notice he still has bandages wrapped around his injured ankle but it looks like he can walk unassisted by the crutch he was seen using in the previous months.
And TMZ has video of Mr. Ford walking by himslef outsdie a Starbucks in Santa Monica, CA.
The video is said to have been shot yesterday, August 30th.
Star Wars: Episode VII is schedule for a December 18, 2015 release.
Set approximately thirty years after Return of the Jedi and the demise of Darth Vader, the plot centers around a trio of young leads, along with characters from the previous installments.
