We only have Jedi News' word on this for now (though they have been reliable in the past) but they cite a "solid source" as providing info that Star Wars: Episode VII is already filming in Cairo. They also claim that filming is expected to be take place at some point in Abu Dhabi. Last we heard, the movie was scheduled to begin production next month with a start date of May 14th and the location of Morocco rumored. Many speculated that that Morroco must be doubling for Tatooine, but of course the outskirts of Cairo would also make for an excellent desert planet. Until we hear any more on this we'll have to treat it as rumor, unless any of you intrepid CBMers fancy a trip to Egypt to try to snap some set pics?
