J.J. Abrams To Work On STAR WARS EPISODE VII Post Production In Los Angeles

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that J.J. Abrams has reached a compromise with Disney and Lucasfilm which will allow him to produce at least some of Star Wars Episode VII on his home turf. According to the site, the director - who has shot all of his film in Los Angeles - is converting some of Bad Robot's headquarters into spaces meant specifically for post-production on the movie. "A green room, sound studios and other new facilities will be developed within the three-story, 18,000-square-foot Santa Monica building, which already includes editing bays, a workshop for making props, a screening room that can double as a set and Abrams' personal suite of offices," they report. Abrams actually covered some of Star Trek Into Darkness' costs to keep production in Los Angeles and this may be an indication that he will be working on future instalments as well.
