SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY's Erin Kellyman Says She "Would Love" To Return As Enfys Nest (Exclusive)

Willow star Erin Kellyman has weighed in on possibly reprising the role of Enfys Nest in a future Star Wars project, revealing whether she and Jon Kasdan ever discussed any Solo 2 plans. Check it out...

We first met Enfys Nest in 2018's Solo: A Star Wars Story, and while the mysterious villain was set up as the movie's antagonist, we soon learned that she was a Rebel fighting back against Crimson Dawn. That led to an uneasy alliance between her and Han Solo, and Erin Kellyman definitely impressed with the role.

Tie-in material would later reveal that Nest delivered the stolen coaxium to Saw Gerrera, though it's fair to say there are still more stories that could be told with this character.

The most obvious place for that to happen would be in a Solo 2, a movie fans campaign for each year with the #MakeSolo2Happen hashtag. Writer Jon Kasdan recently talked to us about the chances of that becoming a reality, but with Willow reuniting him with Kellyman, did they discuss future plans for Nest?

"I mean, I would love to [return]," she tells us in the video above. "There have not been any conversations about it, but I would…yeah, I’d hope into that."

We're not massively surprised there haven't been any talks about a Solo sequel, though it is hard to not be disappointed. A Disney+ continuation would work perfectly, with Lando once looking like it might fill serve as that. Unfortunately, there's been no word on what's going on with the Donald Glover-led project, suggesting it's the latest Star Wars project to fall by the wayside.

Only time will tell whether we'll see Kellyman as Nest again, though season 2 of Andor is one compelling possibility. While that series has shied away from cameos, this Rebel crossing paths with Cassian could lead to an interesting exploration of their respective stories.

Willow is set to premiere on Disney+ on November 30.

I don't mind the character, but she would be better suited for more complex and nuanced writing than what Solo had to offer. Might be cool to see her pop up for an arc in season 2 of Andor given the more nuanced and well crafted character writing, the crossover in tone would certainly be interesting to compare as well. Otherwise, the concept of the character was kind of wasted for the sake of a false antagonist reveal.

Barely even remember her or most of the other characters from this film.

The Emphys Nest train sequence went ridiculously hard for no reason. Probably one of the best action sequences in a Star Wars movie

Wouldn't mind it either. Think a sequel show to the movie, starring the movie's entire cast (Maul included) could be really fun

@bkmeijer1 - yeah I agree. Even though I found Solo to be pretty bland and forgettable, I think have a limit series finishing up the storyline from that movie would be nice. If they can do with it what they've been doing with Andor (a show at firs that I think a lot of people weren't interesting in or excited for), then it could be great.

@HeavyMetal4Life - not even just to wrap up what Solo set up, but really dive into that smuggler's and bounty underworld more as well.

But maybe Lando already ends up being that show, if that even happens...

I'm not entirely sure why there's such a fan following/demand for a sequel to Solo. The first movie was fun but I don't think there needs to be a follow up. We know where Han's story leads to.

Personally, I want to see more Star Wars movies and shows that are set pre and post the Skywalker Saga.

@bcom - I don't really care for Solo or where he ends up, but it's moreso that side of the Star Wars universe (smugglers and bounties) that I wanna see more of

@bkmeijer1 - Yeah. Now that Star Wars is branching out into shows on Disney+ it just seems wasted to set everything in or around the period of the movies and its main characters. It's a huge universe with a massive history so I'm hoping that gets explored.

I'd love to see a show or series of movies set after the events of the sequel trilogy. What happens now the Sith and Emperor are apparently destroyed? Does a new evil emerge? Or something set during the days of The High Republic, or even earlier. Maybe even a show set during the formation of the Jedi and the Sith.

@bcom - I don’t want a sequel featuring Han Solo. Let’s leave the original trilogy characters alone.

That being said, more of the seedy underbelly of the galaxy with the bounty hunters and criminal gangs would be cool. Like an Andor of the underworld.

@bcom - I think the new evil post-Sith should be kept for a threequel trilogy, because quite frankly that trilogy will happen.

As for High Republic or earlier, that's an era I wanna see explored as well.

Still don’t know how we don’t have a Donald Glover Lando show yet
