Yesterday, some info from the Star Wars: The Last Jedi footage that was screened during Disney’s shareholders’ meeting seemed to reveal Luke Skywalker's first words ("who are you?") to Rey, but now a more detailed breakdown courtesy of /Film may just put a slightly different spin on things. Apparently, the footage also contained shots of Captain Phasma, Rey lightsaber training, and more.

The bullet points below are not particularly revealing as it pertains to the actual plot, but there are a few mild SPOILERS: - especially if you want to check out the first teaser for the film that's expected to screen at Star Wars Celebration without any prior knowledge of what it'll contain.

An interior shot from Star Wars: The Last Jedi featuring Luke Skywalker (in some sort of cave or maybe one of the stone huts seen on his island?) saying “Who are you?”

Poe Dameron in his X-Wing yelling “It’s now or never” as it cuts back to BB-8.

Fighters flying through a line-up of the Resistance fleet – had a feel similar to Rogue One over Scarif.

Chewbacca roars.

A shot of Captain Phasma.

Finn dressed as a First Order Officer on the bridge of a First Order ship.

Several shots of Rey igniting and spinning Luke’s lightsaber.

Rey’s hand, in slow motion, with all five fingertips touching the ground and pebbles and dirt hovering around her hand.

Leia turning to the camera with a hologram of the fleet behind her An X-wing flying into a hangar, possibly the Resistance’s since it looked like another X-wing was parked there – with the nose of the X-wing flaring/popping upwards as the X-wing braked quickly in the air.

There was also a wide shot of the island, with Rey out on the point of a ridge practicing with her lightsaber as Luke is farther up the ridge, looking down towards her.

Thoughts? Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to hit theaters on December 15th.

@AdamWarlockHim - Hey, he did okay in the first film. Remember, he's the first non-Force user to hold his own against a trained dark side follower with a lightsaber no less. I agree, Finn should be kickin' and tackin' names and I have no doubt he will be.

@ComicsBornAndBred -

In the earlier cut and script of the movie, Finn owned ALL kinds of ass, and was frankly more capable than Rey, they went back and made him a bit more of a novice because they wanted him to grow into what he was originally as.

His subordinate/superior relationship with Captain Phasma was also gotten into allot more but that was put to the side again for other things pertaining to Kylo or Rey's stories.

Evidently also, she was originally the storm trooper who fights him with the vibro-tonfa when he has the lightsaber, but they switched that out with a buck storm trooper who he was stationed with when he was promoted out of sanitation.

^ that in particular I think was a mistake on their part, while I can agree that Finn growing as a character is better, I think that the side lining of allot of frankly bad ass scenes and lines with Phasma really was a discredit to the actress who played her, particularly with how hyped she was for how cool she was going to be when the movie came out, vs. what we saw of her.

I hope there's no humor in this movie or it will be a full comedy

ELAYEM

@UltronPrime - Damn son you're still confused?
There's a difference between an action superhero movie with comedy in it (Iron Man 1, Thor 1, First Class, Winter Soldier, etc)
And a movie where in most every interview they bring up how funny the movie is going to be (Ragnorak)

@ComicsBornAndBred @UltronPrime

Got the joke fellas, you're making fun of Coleco's argument.
I'm just saying some people have a right to be mad how far they're stressing the comedy in Ragnorak.
UltronPrime
UltronPrime - 3/9/2017, 6:47 PM
@Elayem - agreed people can be mad but it's just people overreacting guys what mcu movie didn't have humor I understand some felt force and some work but when you got people saying it's a full comedy it's just ridiculous that's all
ELAYEM
ELAYEM - 3/9/2017, 6:54 PM
@UltronPrime - Yeah I don't think Ragnorak could be considered a full on comedy but most MCU movies are action movies with humor, whereas Ant-Man, GOTG, and Ragnorak are Action-Comedies.
And some people, myself included, think that out of all the Marvel properties Ragnorak is the wrong property to make an Action-Comedy.
UltronPrime
UltronPrime - 3/9/2017, 7:06 PM
@Elayem - yeah aou humor felt force but I'm not going to say it's an action comedy lol just the humor didn't work same with ant man and thor the dark world and since your going off by the interview he said it will have a lot of heart and we will care about the characters but let me guess yall didn't read that part
ELAYEM
ELAYEM - 3/9/2017, 7:20 PM
@UltronPrime - Nah you're misunderstanding, I never said AOU or Thor 2 were Action-Comedies, only Ant-Man, GOTG, and (most likely) Ragnorak.

I read the whole interview and Taika is a great director. I fully believe him when he says it is going to have a lot of heart, and we will care about the characters. I also believe that his movie's humor will be better than most MCU's movie humor. Because Taika's a great director.
I honestly think this will be the most critically praised Thor movie in the trilogy.

They ONLY thing I'm saying is I wish that since they are adapting Ragnorak, The Death of the Gods, they would have made this an epic emotional action movie with some humor, instead of an Action-Comedy in the vein of GOTG.
