STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER "Honest Trailer" Argues That The Movie Just Doesn't Make Sense

It's finally here! Screen Junkies has released an "Honest Trailer" for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and it definitely doesn't shy away from taking aim at some of the movie's stranger decisions...

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has proved to be somehow even more divisive than The Last Jedi, something that's not helped by fans having to find answers in tie-in novels and comic books rather than the movie itself. While J.J. Abrams tried to please everyone, it feels like he failed to really make anyone truly happy, and now "Honest Trailers" is taking aim the the Skywalker Saga finale!

It's that latter point which this tongue in cheek look at Episode IX really focuses on and, as per usual, there are plenty of jokes at the movie's expense that even its biggest defenders should get a laugh out of.

Something that hasn't really helped The Rise of Skywalker in recent months is the fact that a series of leaks about Colin Trevorrow's version - titled Duel of the Fates - has resulted in a lot of fans arguing that his plans for the film were considerably more exciting

As it stands, the future of the franchise on the big screen remains a mystery.

Various filmmakers are said to be attached to future stories in some way, but nothing concrete has been announced. The success of The Mandalorian, meanwhile, has seemingly led to Lucasfilm focusing more on small screen adventures for the time being thanks to the launch of Disney+.

Check out this "Honest Trailer" below and then let us know your thoughts in the comments section!

This was actually one of my favourite Honest Trailers of all time.

I like how this honest trailer genuinely picks on the movie, whereas other honest trailers mostly do it in a sarcastic or funny way. Well deserved though. The only thing that made sense about this movie was that nothing made sense
