I love Star Wars but I prefer the journey of single player. I want to get involved in a game, not just mentally but emotionally as well. Won't be picking this up. Here's hoping they resurrect The Force Unleashed!

Prequel era stuff is definitely going to be in Battlefront, they've already mentioned it, but given that it's since been confirmed that only the OT stuff will be in the game at launch, I expect it all to be DLC. Blow me, EA. They're just lucky Bioware redeemed my faith in them slightly with Dragon Age: Inquisition.

You guys keep complaining that it doesn't have stuff from Battlefront II.... Well this isn't a remake of Battlefront II, it's a remake of BATTLEFRONT. THE ORIGINAL. So stop complaining that it's missing features from it's successor, when they still have time to implement those features in the remake of BATTLEFRONT II.

That chart is not entirely accurate.

But with all the stuff that actually IS being ommitted, you can count me as part of the disappointed group. I will wait for reviews for this game, but it won't be a first day buy.

I can understand some complaints people have about this game. But a majority of them have little to no merit, other than the "Hate EA" bandwagon.

This game will not have all the features BF2 had, because they are building the game from the ground up. Just like BF1 didn't have half the features of BF2. They used what was already built in the previous game and expanded on it.

Just because BF2 had space battles doesn't mean that they NEED to include it in this version. That's not how game development works; you have a deadline and you need to cut some features you'd like to add to make sure you meet said deadline. Dice is going to need to start smaller and expand; just like the original BF series. Hell, the air battles already look 100% better than they did in the original BF.

I do blame EA a bit on not giving DICE more than a 1.5 year dev cycle for a game this big and popular.But, they're a business trying to keep up with the likes of CoD.

TLDR: Game is being built from the ground up. It's not going to be BF2.

All that being said:

1.) Very sad to hear no single player campaign.
2.) Will need to see gameplay footage before making any judgement.
3.) REALLY hope they don't slam a butt-load of DLC for the game like they do their Battlefield series.
4.) I better get to kill Ewoks.

@PenguinMonk Took the words out of my mouth. DICE has more than proved themselves with Battlefield and considering Battlefront was conceived as "Star Wars meets Battlefield," putting the Battlefield developer on the project is a match made in heaven. People just seem to latch onto everything bad they can on an EA game. Sure EA sucks, but they've still made some good games, all things considered. I won't be preordering but I'll definitely pick it up soon after launch

@verzwei They haven't publicly released gameplay. I presume they haven't allowed anyone to actually demo the game. So how are you so sure there is no depth solely based on a little graph constructed by a member of 4chan based on the small snippets of information released? I don't know if the game will suck or not but there's no point in judging a game before release (EG Aliens: Colonial Marines, Watch Dogs, etc etc)
