Something that seems to have not been mentioned here on CBM (as far as I know) is plans from The House of Mouse to make a television series based on their Tron franchise. According to BBC News, in March of this year, Disney announced a television version of Tron to be out for Disney Channel targeted at the younger male audience with no say on an air date.

Another 10 part mini-series was also announced for Disney XD. That one is suppose to be on TV in the fall, just before Tron Legacy hits theatres in December. It would also be accompanied by the premiere of The Avengers animated show on Disney XD. It is possible that this shorter series will coincide with the events that take place in the video game to be released which is more of a bridge between the two movies. The other series could then be about anything afterwards.

No other details were given, so it is unkown whether these will be live-actions shows or, most likely, animated. Either way it will certainly lead to even more merchandise and better yet, more lightcycles!

C'mon, this is Disney we're talking about. Logic would indicate at least One animated TV show since this property is so important <_<

It's ALL about the cash

If it's live action then....incredible

It might be about Flynn and how he loves in the TRON world

God I hope it's live action with a decent budget.

And there better be at least one light cycle race in each episode.

it is possible that since Disney owns ABC and Lost is over now that it could turn out to be live-action and for ABC, maybe?
