Jyn Erso Vows To Fight In A New International TV Spot For ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY

Two weeks remain until Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theatres, and Disney has continued their marketing push with a new TV spot. The spot, titled "The Death Star", focuses on Jyn Erso vowing to keep taking every opportunity to strike against the Empire, coupled with some ominous images of the deadly space station and the Rebellion's push for freedom.

It remains to be seen how the film explains the scene of the station firing on a planet before the events of A New Hope (which was implied to have been the first time the weapon was used), though writing it off as a secret weapons test, similar to nuclear bombs, might be the film's way of working around this.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, with Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker. Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur and Simon Emanuel are producing, with John Knoll and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers.

The movie opens in U.S. theaters on December 16, 2016.

And if WakandasSoul shows up in this thread, I just want him to know I did read his responses in the last one about Rogue One, but didn't respond because it was a bit later and didn't have anything too meaningful to add. For all the heat, we don't actually disagree on a lot of the facts, just in their relative importance and the words we choose to discuss them.

The idea that Lucas created with the Midichlorians is the only thing saving me from the clips I've watched so far of Jyn vs. The Stormtroopers.

5'3/118 Pound Jyn Erso taking out a Group of Trained/Armored Stormtroopers without any connection to the force just screams Disney Nonsense.

However, since we know that Midichlorians are in all living things...and that many people may be able to unknowingly tap into the Force just with instinct at heightened moments...it makes the idea of little Jyn wiping out a gang of Stormtroopers more acceptable.
