Just like they did with Star Wars: The Force Awakens last year, Disney has rolled out new content for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story at a very methodical pace. Sure, there have been some leaks (though nowhere near as many as for the J.J. Abrams helmed release), but for the most part, we still don't know what to expect from this spinoff, especially with reshoots taking place over the summer.
However, during the Kino Expo International in St. Petersburg last week, the marketing director for the Russian division of Disney confirmed that the final trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be attached to Doctor Strange when the movie is released there on October 28th. This was to be expected (the studio pairing it with Warner Bros.' Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was highly unlikely), and no doubt means that you'll be able to see it on the big screen come November 4th in the US.
When will it premiere online? That we don't know, but the final trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released on October 19th last year, so expect to see it debut around the same time.
It's going to be very interesting to see just how much the final trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story reveals. More Darth Vader seems likely considering the fact that he's easily one of the movie's biggest draws, but with Force Friday around the corner and no doubt set to reveal some additional plot details, this final sneak peek could very well pull back the curtain on the plot too. We'll have to wait and see.
