Though the following was confirmed at the recent red carpet premiere, we're tagging it as a spoiler just in case!
In Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, the one and only Trevor Slattery makes his triumphant return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sir Ben Kingsley made his memorable debut as the "fake Mandarin" in Iron Man 3, and although the character did appear in the subsequent Marvel One-Shot, All Hail The King, nobody really expected to see him again.
Shang-Chi and Katy discover the Scouse actor in a dungeon shortly after arriving as Wenwu's palace. The warlord brought his impersonator to China with the intention of executing him to set an example, but when he amused his captor by performing a bit of Macbeth, Wenwu allowed him to live and serve as a court jester of sorts.
Trevor, along with his bizarre (but adorable) little pal Morris, ends up accompanying our heroes to the mystical land of Ta Lo and is pivotal to them gaining entrance. He is responsible for some of the film's biggest laughs, but also armors-up and fights alongside the warriors of Ta Lo in an effort to repel an invasion from Wenwu's forces.
Despite playing dead in one hilarious moment ("it's just a performance, mate"), Trevor survives the battle. We don't see what happens to him afterwards, but it's assumed that he stays in Ta Lo with Morris.
We may not see Mr. Slattery again (though we certainly hope Kingsley returns for the inevitable sequel), but his involvement in Shang-Chi was a great way to fill in some gaps while also tying the characters to the winder MCU.
