SHAZAM! - New Promo Art Unites The Shazam Family & Pits Him Against The Villainous Dr. Sivana

As we inch toward March, Warner Bros. is really starting to roll out its marketing campaign for David F. Sandberg's Shazam! and over the weekend, a ton of new promo art for the film surfaced online with fun new images of the soon-to-be fan-favorite superhero (Zachary Levi), his Shazam family, The Seven Deadly Sins and the villainous Dr. Sivana (Mark Strong).

While it remains to be seen whether or not the Shazam family will actually suit up in the film, the likelihood seems to be increasing by the day as they've been featured in numerous toys and in other marketing material over the past few weeks.

Regardless, we should probably have an answer one way or another within the next few weeks as the final trailer, which is expected to be online soon, could reveal the big surprise.

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam, courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.

Shazam! features:
Director: David F. Sandberg
Zachary Levi as Shazam
Asher Angel as William "Billy" Batson
Mark Strong as Dr. Thaddeus Sivana
Jack Dylan Grazer as Frederick "Freddy" Freeman
Grace Fulton as Mary Bromfield
Ian Chen as Eugene Choi
Jovan Armand as Pedro Peña
Faithe Herman as Darla Dudley
Cooper Andrews as Victor Vasquez
Marta Milans as Rosa Vasquez
Djimon Hounsou as Shazam (The Wizard)
Lotta Losten in an undisclosed role
Ross Butler in an undisclosed role
Roger Davies in an undisclosed role
Andi Osho as Mrs. Glover
Natalia Safran as Venus Sivana

did WB forget to promote this movie or what? little more than a month away and so far just one teaser trailer, an extended tv spot, a featurette and a handful of images.

@Spidey91 - they go full out promoting about a month away usually so I expect a new trailer first week of March and a whole bunch of tvspots and clips. I mean it’s smart not to give away the entire movie ahead of time like they did with BVS

@Spidey91 - Honestly, the first trailer showed me all I needed to see. And it looks good.

I keep saying they need to reboot the universe, because I want to root for DC movies unashamedly, and I can't do that if they're keeping the version of Superman's origin story from Man of Steel and BVS. Ar they at least planning on un-canonizing those movies? I just need to know. Does anyone?

Anyway, I think it's pretty damn cool they're bringing in the whole Shazam family.

@ImmovableForce - probably not even WB knows at this point.

Great now all the people who hate diversity and SJWs will boycott this movie and spread vitriol here too, or is that not a thing?

The movie that will probably be good but no one knows about.

Although I’m already stoked as hell for this movie, they really should start on the marketing. Endgame might also have one trailer, a tv spot and some promo images, Shazam by far doesn’t have the same buzz around it

I don't think I've ever been more confident in the casting of a DC hero before. Levi will kill it.

This is really starting to look awesome ....hope it delivers. The costume has really grown on me too. The Shazam family and a possible Superman cameo...this could really be special.

Movie is looking good and I think it will be very enjoyable and probably the best film in the DCEU so far, but I feel like they are giving away a bit too much with the marketing. The Shazam family should have been a surprise in my opinion, with the focus hero wise entirely on Levi and his Shazam.

I'm guessing the Marvel family will just only be a thing for the third act.

I didn't think we'd see them in the first movie lol but I'm not surprised really. When you have a hero as strong as Billy, the easiest type of villain to have is one who is just as strong/similar powers but smarter/cunning and so what better way to beat him than strength in numbers

These are pretty cool.

Marketing issues aside I have a real good feeling about this one.

I honestly don't understand some of the negativity I'm seeing on this site about this movie. This looks like a damn good time at the movies to me

This movie will do just fine. Perfect tone for a child-like superhero.

I feel more and more confident about this movie but it really needs a full proper trailer! The first teaser set the tone but the visuals did not look that great (vfx and colors weren't done of course)
