To Celebrate April Fool's Day, David F. Sandberg Shares The First "Teaser Trailer" For "SHAZAM!"

Seeing as Warner Bros. is apparently giving Shazam! a marketing push before Aquaman, fans were understandably excited to check out a video shared by director David F. Sandberg on social media yesterday...

We've now seen dozens of photos of Zachary Levi suited up as Shazam and there's even been a live Facebook Q&A with the cast despite the fact that Aquaman comes out long before it! The two DC Comics adaptations are clearly embarking on very different marketing campaigns and that's why a lot of fans almost exploded with excitement upon seeing a video shared by David F. Sandberg yesterday. 

Sure, it was April Fool's Day but it was also Easter Sunday and a teaser trailer isn't outside the realm of possibility after getting that logo reveal, right? Wrong. As you can see below, the filmmaker kicked things off with a voiceover which makes it look 100% legit before the action cuts to footage from the 1970s TV show with AC/DC's "Thunderstruck" playing in the background. So, he trolled all of us!

It makes for fun viewing, though, and you have to believe we'll get the actual trailer before the year is over. What do you think of this "teaser trailer" for Shazam? Let us know your thoughts down below.
