Insomniac Games' Spider-Man title still doesn't have a confirmed release date but it's closer than ever before to getting one because it's set to feature on the cover of May's issue of Game Informer. As you can see below, comic book artist Alex Ross illustrated the spectacular cover and the site's hands-on impressions of the game promises to delve deep into everything we should expect from the title.

Apparently, their report, "features new screenshots, concept art, and details from Insomniac’s creative director Bryan Intihar, game director Ryan Smith, art director Jacinda Chew, lead writer Jon Paquette, and more. We take you through the opening of the game, the first mission, and plenty of open-world exploration. We also reveal the names of villains you may or may not know."

We'll be sure to bring you plenty of details from that when we have it but for now, feel free to enjoy this awesome cover and a new look at footage from Spider-Man PS4 below. Are you guys looking forward to this one hitting stands? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

Man I love to see Alex Ross do artwork of the Arkhamverse

Does anyone know why he can’t do new DC artwork? Is it an exclusive thing?

I remember him years ago doing the artwork for Assassin’s Creed 3

I really regret buying a Xbone. While Gears Of War is my favorite series; there is just nothing of interest in the Xbox world compared to what’s going on at Sony or even Nintendo with the Switch.

The Xbone is so far behind that it’s not even funny. They are pretty much the EA of game consoles. Just look at the Halo series and how much they [frick]ed up the launch of the Master Chief Collection & the story to Halo 5 which was different from the game’s marketing

Greatest gaming manhunt my ass.

@LEVITIKUZ

Master Chief Collection was incredibly mismanaged. Their multiplayer didn't work until I practically lost interest.

Still love my X-Box One...but yeah, they need some better [frick]ing exclusives.
